Default Hey I reflooded my basement !

Lol

I'm not having the best time lately. We had the rain basement flooding and now my kitchen sink ( or the pipes under it! I don't know !) exploded water everywhere. I had it cleaned up in the basement and now it's all soaked again. Poured from the pipes over my dryer and into a new pond of water in the basement. Yay. It's mostly cleaned up (again) now but ugh !!! Plumber tomorrow :[

Oh no, what a nightmare to deal with. Hope the plumber can take care of it!

No. Unless somehow I froze a pipe this winter and only had the explosion happen now. That won't make them happy.

Please don't play for the plumber, La. You are better than that.

Oh, no! One of my kids once snuck downstairs in the middle of the night when we were sleeping, pulled the extendable kitchen faucet, let it dangle down in front of the sink, and turned the water on. When we found him (30 minutes later? Who knows.) we had inches of water on the kitchen floor and plenty in the basement. Not fun! I hope they're able to fix things up for you and you don't need too much plumbing or repair work done.

omgosh rachel.. i'd lose it at that lol.

looks like one of the pipes under the sink had been leaking, and pooling under/behind the vinyl in there.. I have no idea, but there was no visible puddle upstairs/in the cupboard.. just in the basement -- the back pipe was soaking wet though, so it's the culprit we hope.. and no other pipes are having fun spraying secretly. Hopefully it's fixed now. I don't particularly want that wood rotting out
