I know things can always be worse but come on!
Heavy Sigh.
So today Lena had to take Nathan and David (after signing child support and divorce papers) back to Ohio. So I'm home with the little ones all day. Around 1:30 the school calls and tells me Gabriel, my special needs 6 year old fell while walking in his walker and cut his chin. First they said he was okay. Then they called back and said maybe not I should come and get him. Of course, I'm here with no car and 4 small children. So I call Lena and they are like a half hour outside of Cincinatti so they can't come back at that point. I play a bunch of phone tag with several people and the school and finally get it all worked out for my ex-stepmom to come watch the kids and let me borrow her car. Tim, my significant other, left work to get Gabriel from school so we could meet at the ER to have his chin looked at. While we were at the ER, Lena calls from Troy, Ohio, her intended destination to tell me the car has broken down. There are weird grinding noises coming from the brakes-- we think. We have very little money to work with at the moment and she is stranded for the moment. We are back from the ER with Gabriel. He had a deep gash in his chin from the fall. We opted to try glue instead of stitches. He's very sensitive and I don't think he would have left stitches alone. Hopefully he'll forget about the glue. So far so good, anyway. Tim is now en route to Ohio to get Lena and hopefully my car. Even if it can't be fixed when he gets there maybe it's drivable enough for him to drive it home and let Lena drive his car. Tim is an auto mechanics student so he can take the car to his school to be fixed for only the cost of parts and small donation to the school, which can be as little as you can afford or nothing at all if you can't afford anything. If you could spare some good thoughts our way we'd really appreciate them!

Yikes sounds like you girls are having a day from h-e-double-hockey-sticks!! Hope you can get Lena & the car back in one piece and it's a cheap easy fix!
Also my 2yo recently fell and got a gash above his eye and we had to take him to the ER and they did the dermabond glue on it also. It held up really well and only took about 5 days before it was healing up nicely and the glue started to lift off his skin. So hopefully your lil guy will do okay with it on his chin

Thanks for asking about my little guy! He's doing great. He hasn't tried to pick at the glue at all so far! He tried to touch it a couple of times right after they put it on in the ER but thankfully he seems to have forgotten that it is there.
