Default Canon T2i?

Anyone have this camera? Anything I should know about it?

DH wants this as an upgrade from his XTi, for Christmas. He was looking at lots of other things, but this one is well in my price range, unlike some of the others LOL. He was eyeing the 7D, but decided that he might like the T2i even better. I'm going to get his camera later this week, so I'd love to hear your opinions if you have one.

He takes mostly nature and scenic photography, with obviously some pics of the kids now and then LOL

I have the 7D and I've held and briefly shot with a T2i. (my co-worker has one and we played with cameras one day!)

i LOVE my 7D...LOVE, and have no regrets...BUT - the body of the T2i is so much smaller!! And from what I've read it packs most of the power from the 7D into its smaller frame and lower price.

I'd go T2i if I were you (for DH!)

here's a review for you:

Thanks Erin and Beckie! That is very helpful! I think I'll go with it, since that's the one he wants, and it's cheaper

Maybe I can hook him up with a new lens with the money I save on the camera too.

I saw Adorama is having an instant rebate on Canons. Here is the link from the email they sent me. Next to the price, click view rebate to check that out.
