Default Purchasing Kits / Collections

I'm just curious if there are certain kinds of kits and/or collections you are drawn to ... and what your thought pattern is when purchasing them.

For me, when I look at my stash, I have tons and tons of autumn kits. There is something about the deep, rich tones of the elements and flowers that draws me right in!

What about you?

For me, it's the color. When I see purple (more the blue than the pink), I go weak.

Halloween and Christmas always.

Also I really love the nature/beachy kits, even better if the beachy kits are lake focused. We do a family trip every 4th of July that is to my inlaws cabin, so lots of nature and lake trips.

Disney, not really the characters, but the generic kits that work for the theme parks. I'm not a one page of anything scrapper anymore, unless it's an about me page, so if I can't stretch a theme into a two page spread, I'm probably not going to use it.

Disney kits, Nature/Outdoors and Christmas are my top. I am also a sucker for the Gnomes as well.

I have a lot of autumn themed kits and I especially love the ones with the oranges and purplish hues in them. I do have quite a few kits about nature because of all the layouts I've been scrapping for my cousin's family. They like the outdoors and spend a lot of time riding their bikes, kayaking, going to the beach and the 2 weeks they spend on a lake every summer in Michigan (they live in Orlando).

I also love dog kits!

What does turn me off of a kit is if it has a lot of pink, especially hot pink or any bright pink. I prefer more muted tones of pink that you find in the autumn kits.

I LOVE Christmas kits, and I have at least 100 that I've collected since 2006. I wouldn't doubt it if that number was more like 200. I have tried to cut down my purchasing of all kits, because I have mainly purchased a kit because I just loved it, but these designers just keep creating digi goodness! I will say, though, that I purchase very few autumn kits, because we don't have much of an autumn here, even though there a lot of gorgeous ones here.

I love music kits, too! I have many of the ones that are in the store now. I can say that I do use those often. I've used Traci Reed's I'm With the Band over and Clever Monkey Graphics In the Band collection over and over.

I tend to avoid kits with tons of flowers, because I don't use flowers very much. I also avoid shabby kits because I'm not an art journaled, and I've always been drawn to the clean designs.

The designers here certainly do make it difficult to NOT buy all of the kits!!

I have a ton of autumn kits as well. I tend to be choosy about Christmas kits and pretty much now only buy ones that look unique (like Kristin's A Christmas Tale - Making Spirits Bright). I also tend to buy beach kits (particularly the blue/brown/green) since we tend to vacation at the Oregon Coast which is a cool beach (no surfing or tropical plants or swimsuits there LOL).

Christmas and outdoor/hiking kits are my biggest purchases. I always have lots of photos of both and feel like I can always use more.

For me, it is any kind of travel kit- Disney, beach, cruise, hiking, nature, desert etc.

My travel albums are the ones I tend to finish and get ready to print before our daily memories, so that is probably why I tend to lean towards purchasing those!

Definitely fall, Halloween & Christmas. I love Disney kits, and themed kits really catch my attention.

I’m clearly in the minority, but I do not love holiday themed kits!

I look at the patterned papers to decide if I’m going to buy a kit, that, and the color scheme. I have to feel like I can really see myself scrapping with it and not just love the colors.

This is me as well. I actually hate scrapping Christmas and I feel like I've scrapped all of my boys' Halloween/birthday photos six times already. The photos are usually not great and I hate scrapping bad photos.

I'm usually drawn to kits with no specific theme that I could use for anything, nature kits and art journaly type kits.

Fall kits are my favorite to design - I love every one of the ones I have made. And it seems over the years I took the fewest photos in fall! Doh!
