Default A Gentleman in Moscow

Has anyone read the story? I am about 30% of the way through it, according to my Kindle, and I was really interested in it at first, but I am not sure I want to invest three time to read the rest of it if itís just more of the same thing. I was just wondering if thereís any action in it or suspense or drama. Surely the author did not write an entire book about a manís observations of life in a hotel. And yet Bill Gates recommended it...

I quit on it after the first quarter of the book. I continue to see it on recommended book lists and often wonder if I should give it another shot.
