Default i have a question...

I have a regular, ol bunn coffe maker. As I was sitting here making a pot, I wondered, 'hmmmm, what do other people drink as their normal coffee?'. We normally always buy folgers. What's your brand of choice?

we dont drink coffee here. Like most people drink coffee we drink iced tea and my favorite of that is Tetley then Luzianne. When my daughter lived here I bought her some sort of coffee with french vanilla flavor which I think was made by folgers. It was brewed like regular coffee but had flavor added to it somehow. Also I would go to the local coffee place called Barney's coffee and get her some there occasionally as a treat. They sold the beans or sold it ground and have about 30 varieties.

I buy the big bag of Starbucks French Roast beans from Costco, and grind it.

I bought a Keurig last year for myself though, and I love it! My faves for that are Tully's French Roast and Tully's Italian Roast. I do use a flavored creamer though.

I got a Keurig for Christmas so I never brew a pot of coffee anymore. For K-cups I love the Newman's Own Special Blend, Tully's Kona Blend and Donut Shop Decaf.

our coffee maker broke yesterday sad.

I kinda want one of those keruig's but they seem like they would be quite costly! (both the machine and the coffee itself)

(I'm a nabob girl.. not sure if that is available in the states.. and really I only drink it cause thats what my parents always had..)

Kristin I think you can brew your regular coffee in the Keurigs.

http://www.keurig.com/accessories/my-k-cup

So really since you only brew one cup at a time it probably saves you money if you dont drink a whole pot or dont want to brew a whole pot

We're Starbuckers...we buy our coffee by the pound there and have them grind it. We really liked the Tribute, but we also like the Kenya, 3 Region Blend and Gold Coast.

Folgers decaf. My sleep doc made me give up caffeine, and chocolate, among other things in an effort to solve my 8 years of insomnia.

It's working too. On the one hand, YEAH more sleep! On the other hand, I WANT A BROWNIE!

I love Peet's house blend, but I can't get it here in SD. Otherwise, I buy Dunkin' Donuts, which I have to brew at home because we don't have one of those here either

We do have a local coffee roaster, Dark Canyon Coffee, that makes a fantastic flavor called Highlander Grogg (blending butterscotch, french vanilla and irish creme)..perfection! And what's funny is my SIL, who lives near Seattle, asks us to send her this for her birthday!

We go thru Tim Horton's drive-thru almost every morning. It's a Canadian chain, but is available in most of the northeast. It's the most delicious coffee I've ever had!

We buy Starbucks French Roast beans from Costco and grind them at home or Tim Horton's blend. Gotta love Tim, I even made a page about it!

I buy the store brand whole bean bulk they have at my grocery store (sumatra, its yummy and dark). I used to do folgers, but then my sister got a job at starbucks and kept me regularly stocked with whole bean coffee. She stopped working there a long time ago, and I just started buying my beans at the store, but it is just one of those things, once you go home ground you can never go back! I am probably the biggest coffee drinker I know (seriously like a pot a day over here) so it's just one of those things I like to treat myself with... generally though, i'm pretty happy with the store brand bulk coffees - I used to do flavored, but i've stopped because i think that the bold unflavored roasts tend to be richer fuller flavored.

Every once in a while i'll get a extra special yummy type as a gift or something, and I am a HUGE fan of trying new roasts!

(ps, we live in the northwest, we are obsessed with coffee, so finding interesting roasts/roasters isn't exactly hard to do!)

Hmm...my hubby is the coffee drinker in the family - so he shops by price and usually a medium to dark roast... I only have one request that it's a free trade coffee.

Water, lemonade and the occasional Sierra Mist. Starbucks Frappuccino has too many calories and cuts into my scrapbooking budget.

Anything from the Roasterie, which is local to Kansas City... otherwise, Seattle's Best 4 or 5. I like my coffee very dark.

(During pregnancy, I switched to Teeccino, which has no caffeine, and it's made in tea bag form instead of grounds. It's not actually coffee. It's ground nuts that are made to TASTE like a coffee... with creamer, I can't even tell the difference, really).

I love my Keurig. Now-a-days I only drink coffee when we're home in the morning (weekends, holidays, random day off work), and I drink tea at work. No one was filling the water tank in the keurig at work and it was driving me INSANE. Plus I tend to get in the zone at work and suddenly it's an hour later and I never drank it, lol.

Anyway. Growing up my parents drank regular folgers, cuz my mom used to work for them. Then they took a trip to Hawaii, the island of Kauaii, and visited the coffee plantation there that our family friends had been drinking for YEARS. Ever since then (that was.....2001? 2002?) they've been getting the coffee from there. They have a coffee club you can join and then send you the beans each month, they love it.
I used to drink my own hawaiian coffee. Then I gave up coffee. Then I got a keurig. For my Keurig I have a huge box of Green Mountain Hazelnut (I also really like the Gloria Jeans version), and I also like their Nantucket Blend, and Breakfast blend, and occasionally I'll have a Tully's Kona.
For Christmas though, my MIL found Penn State coffee, and it's actually GOOD! Lol! So I've been drinking Joe's Java, or Nittany Roar for the past few months

I thought that Tim Hortons was expanding in the US? Maybe it is just the Eastern States? Anyone know? I am not a huge fan but it is almost like a cult here. I drink Starbucks and brew and grind it at home.

Grinding it in the store still isn't the same as grinding it at home right before you brew your coffee.

Its actually not bad at all. I am cheap and honestly, I think its one of the best things I have bought in a long time. Unless you drink multiple cups a day, maybe that could get a bit more expensive.

I've already got a Tim Horton's on our map for our upcoming vacation. I can't wait to give it a try!

We are now using decaf coffee, both DH and I have had the cardiologist tell us to lay off the caffine. We're using a Costco brand that is roasted by Starbucks. Otherwise we use whatever I can get for bogo free from Publix that we can grid ourselves.

And Starbucks is contraband in *our* house. I'm *very* anti-Starbucks (though, I have gone recently a couple of times with friends. Still hate it). To me, their coffee all tastes burnt. It's because of their roasting process.... they roast them for speed, rather than a smooth brew, so it tends to overoast the beans and make it taste burnt to me. But, I used to study coffee, so I'm pretty sure most people don't notice it... I'm just a snob :P

Here too but more for the reason because they bought out alot of the Barnie's coffee places where I live and they were already everywhere at that point. I was pretty upset because the one we went to the most often closed and a Starbucks opened in its place Then the Starbucks where Barnie's were bought out mostly closed so there is no Starbucks and no Barnie's. I do not drink coffee but Barnie's has what they call Freezers which is basically a slushie type drink. They have this coffee called Santa's White Christmas and you can get the freezer with just the Santa's White Christmas syrup without the actual coffee which is flavored with caramel, nuts, coconut and vanilla and it is amazing.

DD is actually much better quality than Starbucks, which is not what most people would expect. Yes, their atmosphere is nice, I will grant them that...

We used to live in Massachusetts where there is a DD on every block and the coffee is fantastic. Down here in Virginia it's okay, but not nearly as good as in New England.

I do drink coffee occasionally, and when I do I like the Nescafe at home Cappuccino's. Not sure if you have them over there.
