iPhoto vs Photos

I am still using iPhoto on my dinosaur of a mac. Who has switched to Photos? How was the transition? Did your tagging transfer?

I think the time has come to break down and buy a new computer but iPhoto is no longer available... Is this a big switch over?

In iPhoto I had my edit set to my photoshop. Can I do something like this in Photos? or do I have to export every photo I want to scrap?

I tired Photos - didn't like that I had to export photos and could not drag into photoshop... haha... so I went back to iphotos. Not sure about tagging.

I used to use iPhoto, but not anymore.
I just do the old folder system

I am still learning the ropes when it comes to mac and struggle a little with iPhoto - i didn't even know there is 'photos' app on here i have searched for it and can't find it?! Do you mean like the Photos app on the iPhone? See i told you i am still learning!!

I assumed that every photo had to be exported to Photoshop and it has been driving me nuts all this time, I had no idea Rebecca that you could drag a photo from iPhoto to Photoshop ( i never thought to try it) I am just scrapping a page now and tried it and squeeze i am happy!!
