Organization?

So I switch to a iMac not long before my drop out of the digiscrap world five years ago and have never really developed a good way to organize my files on my mac (as I really wasn't scrapping at all until recently). How do you ladies organize so that you can find things? In my PC days I just put a kit preview as the folder and I could quickly see all the previews without having to open every file all the time. I usually can remember what colour scheme all my kits are but the details for all the kits just don't fit into my memory.

I just spent an hour trying to find a particular alpha... I need some suggestions!

I know you can make the preview on the folder in a mac. If those directions don't work I'll try to find something better.

Got them all labeled now with the preview! So much easier to find things. I found a lot of kits that I had forgotten about too... And I was only missing the preview for the Mystery kit from last fall so that isn't too bad.
