Default DD is progressing....YAY!

So, DD went to the doctor on Monday and the doctor said that she WAS NOT progressing at all. So, they cancelled her induction for tomorrow the 26th. It is now rescheduled for next Thursday, the 2nd.

However, last night she started getting some intense back and abdominal cramps. Then, this morning around 10 am she lost her mucous plug! So, we are moving along it seems. She is out shopping at Target now trying to speed things up hopefully. Maybe Ben will come all on his own after all.

Poor DD is soooo ready. She has gotten stretch marks so bad the last few weeks that they are bleeding! She is just so tiny and Ben is expected to be around 8 1/2 lbs or more.

So, on losing the mucous plug...is that typically an indication that we are within a few days? Or can you lose that way ahead of time?

yay for your daughter!! For my first son, I lost it on Dec 15 and he wasn't born until Jan 3. (I only remember because it was my birthday. LOL) For my second son, I don't remember losing it, but I was induced 2 weeks before he was due because of his size.

I don't remember loosing mine either... but then I didn't know that my water had broken, either... LOL!

I've had someone swear to me that garlic biscuits (like those at red lobster) and a diet coke is a sure way to make things happen...

I've had friends who lost their plug and didn't deliever the baby for another 2 weeks. So its not necessarily an indication that labor will come soon but I hope for her sake that it is!

It can be really random. You can loose it weeks before you deliver or right before things get going.

I only had my water break once on it's own and I didn't have any warning about that. I just rolled over in bed and felt a little "pop!" I thought "Oh. Certainly that wasn't... OH! Yes, it was!" Sleeping for a few weeks on plastic totally paid off.

Yea, I wound up googling it and saw it really indicates nothing in regard to when baby will come.

I am just so darn excited I can hardly stand it.!!!! I told him to hurry up and get his chubby butt out here so Nanee can snuggle him but, he's not minding. Must get that from his Mommy.

Ha ha....I know! We are all so impatient over here. When the cancelled his induction my oldest DD was so mad. I had to talk her down. She knows as we all do that it is in Ben's best interest that it got moved but, it is so hard to wait. Especially when there is a nursing pillow and bag sitting at the door ready to go! It's a constant reminder......

I can't even remember losing it the first two times, but with my last, I lost it in early labor. I had Rae about 12 hours later.

My stretch marks were really bad, they were SO itchy, I scratched them til they would bleed. Poor girl!

Mine got really bad but never bled. I feel so sorry for her.

She is just still so tiny for that big baby. Her belly button is really, really bad!

Best wishes to her - for her sake, I hope he comes SOON! Both of my boys were early so I expected my DD to be early too, and when she hadn't come within a few days of her due date, I was desperate to get her out of me! Never had stretch marks, but I did have really awful hip pain ...

Walking can really help! I walked around a store the night my son was born (but I was already at 5 cm that morning..lol). Good luck!

Your poor daughter! I didn't know stretch marks could bleed either

I gained 47 pounds with Andrew... at 4'11" I looked really really fat lol. But I remember hating my belly button too. I'll have to show you the picture of me 3 days before delivery... you'll laugh.

How exciting! I hope he comes soon!! When is the actual due date?

I was very much in labor when I lost my mucous plug one time... I don't remember the other times. But, once I start, I don't stop. I progress super fast. I walked for like 4 hours at the mall the day DD3 was born! My first two were 10 and 15 days early, and she was right on her due date... that was the hardest 2 weeks EVER.

good luck!!! come little baby!!

She is due on the 29th....just a mere 3 days from now. They have her induction scheduled for Thursday the 2nd. She is so ready. Bless her heart. She has to go to school for 2 hours today and 2 hours tomorrow and she is so nervous! She is so worried about people looking at her.

Hopefully today the circumstances will be just what is needed to push Ben to make his move!

I'm sure this has already been said, but, yes, you can lose your plug at anytime. It can regrow, as well. With my older two children, I lost it and delivered days later. This last time, I lost chunks of it for a few weeks before I had Toby.

No more progress. She is soo tired though. Bless her heart. I told her that maybe Ben is waiting until my parent's anniversary which is the 30th. I hope so cuz the anticipation is killing me!!!

School was good. She was so nervous but she actually met 3 other mommies (or soon to be) and she was happy about that. From now on the teacher will come to the house 4 hours a week to give her class work, etc. Then once Ben is 6 weeks old she will go back to school full time. Thanks for asking about her!

I only remember losing my plug with one of the boys. I lost it over a few days before going into labor. It wasn't until I actually saw a little blood mixed in with the mucous plug that I called my parents and told them it was going to be soon!!

I am so excited for your family! I can't wait to see pictures!!

I gained about 80 lbs with the last two pregnancies, 35 with my first and this time around has been about 35 (but I gained 25 BEFORE I got pg...docs orders)....I can't wait to meet Baby Derek and lose all this weight!! i just discovered a bunch of stretch marks that I didn't know were there. :-(
