could i get some positive thoughts?

i've been having some stomach issues for awhile and i've gone through blood work and even an ultrasound only to have everything come back fine. i'm so sick of being nauseous and in pain. today i'm going to see my gastric bypass doctor to see if he can figure anything out. if nothing else, he's probably a little more experienced with all that in there, since he put it all back together LOL.

We've been going through something similar with my oldest - he is sick every time he eats and has lost at least 10 pounds since last summer. They did blood work on him and it was fine. Now they are testing him for a bacteria that they said he could have picked up in the dorm or pretty much anywhere. Only 20% of the people who have it actually experience any symptoms.

And for what it's worth, I know several people who eliminated certain foods from their diets (namely gluten, or dairy/milk proteins, or both) after not getting any definitive answers from doctors, and it made a huge difference in how they felt. Just because a person doesn't test positive for celiac disease doesn't mean their body isn't still sensitive to gluten. Not saying that's the problem, but it might bear looking into if you don't get any other answers.

My daughter keeps complaining of tummy troubles too. Since she had an ovarian cyst at the age of 7 (had the ovary removed) I'm always nervous that the other ovary is now going bad. I need to schedule her another ultrasound and then an appt with her pediatric surgeon just to check on it. I'm pretty confident it's not the cause but it's just hard when all you can go on is "my belly hurts"!

I'm not sure if this fits your symptoms, but for a long while I was feeling nauseous and getting sick all the time. I ended up at a gastro and having an endoscopy and it turns out I have a weird esophagus condition. Like I said, not sure if it fits your symptoms, but something to consider if it does and you don't get any answers soon.

Feel better Laura. Another thing to ask the Dr. about is Acid Reflux or GERD; as they can both cause tummy issues, especially if you also have a cough but no signs of a cold.
