Default Font Size?

What size font do you use for journaling on your pages?I haven't had any of my pages printed yet and I'm concerned the printed size may be too small to read. On the other hand I don't want it look huge.

Font size can vary for reading depending on how it was created, what background it's on, and if it's a bold font or a delicate font.

The best way I've found to do it is to generate my journaling, then look at my page at 25%. (this especially if you create in 12x12 and print at 8x8, but the general idea can work for 12x12 to 12x12). If you can read it easily at the 25% size, you're good. If you have trouble adjust up, if it looks too big, adjust down.

Most people find between 12-18pt is good, but there are so many other things that effect the look of how a font reads, it's best to check to make sure.

A while back, I held a ruler up to my monitor and zoomed in to my layout until it measured 8x8 on my screen. For my screen resolution, that's 28.6%. So, when I'm wondering if my font is too big or too small, I put the layout at that size and see how it looks.

But, Darcy's right . . . it's different from font to font, and somewhere between 12-18 is usually about right for normal journaling.

I tend to use between 10-14 on my layouts, depending on the font.

Same here, 10-14 except one font that I need to use 18. For my PL pages, I hold my 4x6 photo by monitor to get idea for my 12x12 book.

I stick to between 10-14 for most layouts, and now that I've printed I know what looks best and stick to it for the other fonts.

I do 11 or 12 for most fonts, though I've gone as small as 8 or as big as 16 depending on the font.

I usually use around a 12 point font! It's worked great! When they are printed they are easy to read.
