Default Have you ever been published?

I seriously get a thrill every time I've been published, and I realized today I missed the last few calls for pages in the magazine I typically get published in (Creative Scrapbooker - one of the last remaining scrapbooking magazines!)

I've been published quite a bit - I went about 3 years without missing a (quarterly) issue of the above magazine, but in the past have also been published in Scrapbook Trends, and in the 'Digital Scrapbooking' magazine (such irony there).

This is one of my latest ones to get published, using goodies from Simple Pleasure Designs:

So what about you? Ever been published??? If so, I wanna see!

I've had many layouts published and always got so giddy when I see them published! It's always exciting when they contact you and you take your layout down out of the galleries!

Congratulations on getting this one published. It's gorgeous!

Love your fun page!! Yes I have, but it's been a long time! I was contacted by them and like you said took my page out of the galleries It is flattering!! Yay for you and Wendy that it's been such a regular occurrence! Not surprised though - you are both phenomenal scrappers!

I didn't even know this was still a thing - congrats! I had a few published, but a very long time ago. It's nice to see there is still a publication around!

I had a mini book published a few years back and a few pages too. I remember getting 2 copies of the magazine, I signed one and sent it to my big sister.

There's a few still out there! It's funny when you see digital pages in there, they are few and far between but I annoy my family and am like - HEEEEEEY! LOOOOOOOK! lol They don't care like I do

Many many years ago, I had one of my hybrid albums published in creating keepsakes magazine… I think that was the one. I just came upon the magazine copy that I have.

Congratulations Trina, that's a wonderful page!

I've been published a couple times many years ago, but I didn't even know there were still scrapbooking magazines anymore! I'm a little out of touch!

I had no idea that was even a thing. How does that work? You submit pages to be reviewed by them or they just contact you?

Also why do you have to take down your page from galleries?

Yes, you submit to them and then they choose and let you know, you sign a copyright agreement for them to be able to use it. You have to take it down until after publication, then you can put it back online everywhere.

That's awesome that you were recently published - your page is fab!

I have been published a few times - but it's been awhile ago! I have the magazine(s) stashed away.

I did not realize there were still scrapbooking mags out there, I just looked up Creative Scrapbooking and will defiintely be takng a closer look ... thanks for sharing!!

Congrats! I didn't realize there were any scrapbooking magazines left, either. I was published years and years ago--probably 2007 or so--when I wrote a tutorial for how to make a digital scrapbooking insert for the design-your-own drink tumblers. I don't even think they exist anymore now that places like Shutterfly can print on the actual mugs. I did buy 2 or 3 copies and still have them!

Yes...so many moons ago! 2009 It was in Somerset Digital Studio magazine. I have a copy of that issue around here somewhere. Don't have the layout file handy right now, though. Or, maybe I do. Ah...found it! If I recall, I think we were challenged (at the site I participated at) to include that pup in the layout. His name was Moss. His owner was a designer and (possibly?) part owner of the scrap site. Anyway...I was surprised but THRILLED that the magazine liked it. Certainly exciting to see it printed. I think they liked the touch of whimsy with the nature pictures? Maybe? lol
Thanks for the walk down memory lane.

Congratulations, Trina!
I had a couple of pages published ages ago (late 90s?) when I was still paper scrapping. I have the magazines tucked away somewhere. It was very exciting!

Many times! Mostly in Australian Scrapbooking Memories (funny since I'm in the US) and Somerset Digital Studios. Submitting to publications was a CT requirement for an old site team I was on.

This one was on the cover of Somerset Digital Studio Autumn 2012

I have copies of all of the magazines, too!
