I don't do cookie exchanges because the truth is I just love the cookies I make SO much that I don't want to part with them - and usually find I don't like others cookies nearly as much! Yup. I'm a cookie snob. (Although the oatmeal cranberry ones sounds delish!!)
So far this year I've made Springerle Candy Cane Bark Gingerbread Shortbread and today is sugar cookie day, and cranberry pistachio biscotti if I get around to it. I LOVE COOKIES! |

I love baking too, the mess it makes not so much lol! The night before Thanksgiving I made 2dz pumpkin chip cookies and 3dz pumpkin chip muffins, they were SO good! I just ate the last of the cookies a few days ago and I'm ready to make another batch or two!

I like to bake but rarely do it because my kitchen is tiny and it makes such a mess (even putting one thing on my tiny counter makes a mess, lol). But I want to do more of it, for sure. I just need to learn some self-control so I don't eat the entire pan of brownies again next time.

I like it, but I never think to do it. *lol* You have to eat dinner, but you don't have to eat cookies or brownies, kwim?
I think I'm going to make some cake balls this weekend, though, since it'll just be Jeff & me and there's not a lot going on. It will be fun and yummy, and I will get to have a nice Daily December page for the day, too. |

i can share, though there are alot of different version i found online. i'm thinking of adding chocolate chips to it too. can't go wrong there!
these are called Lacy Oatmeal Cookies with Dried Cranberries 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 egg 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 cup old-fashioned oats 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon milk 1 cup dried cranberries preheat oven to 350. lightly grease or spray cookie sheets cream butter on medium speed until light. add sugars and cream together until smooth and light, about 2 minutes. add egg and combine. mix in flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, salt and enough milk to make a lumpy batter. fold in dried cranberries. drop cookies by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheets, 2 inches apart. Bake in the center of the oven for 5-8 minutes. cookies will be golden brown on the bottom and firm on the top. remove to a wire rack to cool. this is straight from a cookbook i have. i kept wanting to just copy and paste instead of typing it all out, lmao!! |

I loooove cookies too! I love baking in general! But this is cookie "season" so cookies are on the brain, lol. I always go overboard when making cookies and make like a zillion varities, but I just love it!
And LOL, Lindy, I'm the same way about cookie exchanges. Cookie snobs unite!! |

I prefer baking over cooking, definitely! I have been craving cinnamon buns like crazy lately, have everything I need to make them, but haven't found a recipe I like (almost all have a cream cheese frosting - ew - me and cheese are a no-go).

I like to bake but I would need about 5 more hours added to each day just to find time to fit it in my schedule. Lately, when I make something it is out of a box or premade dough cuz it is so much faster.

My husband cooks and I bake! We make a great team. And he cleans up his mess and I clean up mine.
