Yes..we've been under a watch all day but they're starting to fire up now. And of course DH is gone and I'm here with the kids. If we just had someplace to go so that I felt safe it wouldn't be so bad...I hate huddling in the bathroom

So sorry Nikki!!! We had some a few weeks ago and I was a freaking nervous wreck!! My hubby was about an hour away from home at work and I was calling him and he's like "I'm driving home and it's fine here...nice and sunny"...... and then later when he got home he showed me this picture that he took while driving home of what was REALLY happening!!!

I'll be saying some extra prayers for you all tonight Nikki!!!!

I think almost all of MS is under a watch.. most of North and Central but its getting dark and blowy here in the south. Boy scouts is planning to play kick ball out in an open field. They just left. Hope the weather stays away.

I think it's finally calming down for us I hope. I swear I need some anxiety pills or something just to take when it's bad weather lol

eeeks, no wonder he lied to you till he got home! now, i will admit that i actually like tornado chasing, yes i know i am crazy. i hate it when they get close to homes though. then it is not interesting at all, but if they are in the open the i find them fascinating.

we had some really bad weather a week ago. There were no defenite tornadoes spotted in our area but I think there was a small one that went through. There were alot of trees down and tons of large branches. Plus the winds were so strong it almost ripped our back door off. Then there was loads of hail. More hail then Ive ever seen in my life. It was between dime sized and golf ball sized. Having more of the same tomorrow from about 10-4 according to the weatherman. Hope yours has cleared up!! I know I dont do well in storms at all.

EEK! I hate this season too... like you Nikki, I hate that we don't have a basement we can go hang out in and have to hang out in the bathroom.

Um... Elizabeth, that's an amazing picture and yeah, no wonder he lied to you... though I'd probably be mad at him for lying after the fact.

How was your weather last night Deb? It got baaad here around midnight-1am I guess...I couldn't sleep with the hail hitting the windows. It was soooo loud. LOTS of tree branches and debris scattered about the lawns and street this am but doesn't look like anything too bad. Was just an awful storm here pretty much.

Glad everyone is safe . . . tornadoes are very scary! My home town has been hit dozens of times - once when over 40 people were killed, and I've lived in Tornado Alley most of my life. Although I like the weather that accompanies them (I LOVE thunderstorms!!), I still have a serious fear of the tornado part!

Nikki, those storms were pretty bad. I always know when you get them that we'll get them about 8-10 hours later, depending on how fast they're moving. Thankfully (for us), they usually lose a little bit of power before getting here. But the ones last night were loud and strong.

it hit us pretty bad. Hail, sheets of rain, bad thunder and lightning, etc. We were under a tornado watch for several hours, I was scared the sirens would go off :/ I do not want to deal with tornados right now!

There were a couple of touchdowns close to here and 1 person killed a couple of counties over. The straight line winds with this round of storms was awful too...we had a few trees down in our side yard and lots of limbs and debris. I think the worst went just south of us though.
