Default Smash Book

I was at Wal-Mart last night and while in the scrapbook aisle found a book called a Smash Book. They had all sorts of colors and things to go with it. Apparently you put whatever you want into it. It was $12 for the book, pen/glue stick 2-in-1. I have been missing the hands on traditional scrapbooking but I love the freedom of using stuff more then once with digital. So I bought the Red Doodle book with some extra's (pockets, journal cards, tape and some calendar pages). I'm using it for the things that I want to keep but don't want to just toss in a jar (like ticket stubs, letters from the kids).

I took some pictures of some of the pages I've started on. There are really no rules which I like. I can put whatever I want wherever I want. Each colored book has a different theme/colors. You can see more online (there's even a video). I'm buying one for my sister & sister-in-law for Christmas.

The video about it is here: http://youtu.be/XmaWY7Wk0qA

I have been thinking of getting one...but it has been years since I kept a notebook that didn't have grocery lists in it. LOL

I love these. I so wanted to find an app for my ipad that would allow me to do something like this. I found some that are great for doodling, but don't allow me to add pictures and things and I found some that I can make a picture collage with but don't have great doodling tools. Anyone ever found an app for something like this? Otherwise I might just need to pick up one like that and do it "manually" lol

Oh that would be awesome! They probably couldn't do it this year but if you e-mail the company they may do one for next year. They have a 365 themed one on their website.

I got one of these and used for my boys summer book. We kept a journal of things we did over the summer and I liked that we were able to add things to it like bracelets from events, tickets, etc.

I think a December Daily one would be good in this format! would love to see one that was for that theme.

Oh I have to go to Walmart later. I think I'm going to look for this. I really need to start some hands on crafting and I don't have a printer yet for Hybrid scrapping :/

I will say that some Wal-Marts can be hit or miss on it. The Wal-Mart right by my house has a pretty decent size display of items for it. The Wal-Mart by my school has nothing and the Wal-Mart by my parents had 2 books and a handful of extra's for it. I'm going to try Micheal's this weekend to see what they have.
