Default Speaking of Christmas cards

Where are you ordering/did you order yours?
Did you go with a finished design or design your own?

I'm working on my cards today. Can't find any I like at Cosco, but the price is good. So I guess I will design my own and then print there. However, can't say that a design is coming quickly to me.

I usually browse through shutterfly, tiny prints and the other sites for cards I like and use those as inspiration for the ones I design myself. Perhaps this might work for you too?

I do my own but always wait until Kristin releases her big Christmas collection on Black Friday.

I usually get mine printed at Vistaprint so I can get double-sided and put a mini-Christmas letter on the back, but last year, I bought a Groupon for the same kind of deal at Staples and had them printed there.

I had mine printed with shutterfly again this year. I made a few cards up I liked (with their designs) and just waited for the 10 free card deals and ordered 10 here and there. I ordered some on a 40% off sale as well. I think they are 50% off there right now.

I normally have mine done through Shutterfly because then I can pick them up at Target and save on shipping, they aren't great but the price is right and I can normally get them in an hour which is helpful since I don't normally get around to them until after Thanksgiving!!

Do you know what? I've never made my own cards lol. I don't really send them so I've never bothered.

I buy the kids ones made by local card makers to send to their friends at school though.

I've had mine done at vista print the last 3 years.

I started using them the year Harper was born, because I could do the card on one side and his birth announcement on the other side. I designed them that year, but the last 2 years I've done premade templates.

This year I added a couple photos to the back and a short little note about what the kids are up to.

I always make my own. I always take either a funny but festive photo of the boys or a family photo if I get one done early enough and make my own photo card. Now actually sending / giving them out is the part I have trouble with... I always forget LOL

I always make my own and print through WHCC. I need to get some good picture of the boys and get on it!

I always design and print my own, usually through vistaprint because they do a good job at the right price on a double sided design. We just got our pics taken and I'm waiting on KCB's collection to scrap them this year.

I used to spend ages designing mine. These days sites like Shutterfly have SO many great designs that I don't even bother. I slap pictures into their designs and call it good. I mean, why waste my time designing something when no one will even realize that I did it myself and that it wasn't just something I slapped photos in to? LOL I would rather put the time into a scrapbook layout!

I make my own and just print it in a local print shop, because ours is always one sided card.

I've never made my own. I'll have to do it one of these years. I find my Target typically has a good selection of cards, and I can usually find something I like there.

I decided to just use one of Shutterfly's designs, but with international shipping and the amount of time it takes to get here then back to the recipients all over the world I'm thinking of just making my own template and have them printed somewhere local.

I ordered from Shutterfly using one of their designs. They have been sending me crazy coupons lately. I got 40 cards spread out over 4 packages and only paid shipping. It seems every week I have gotten something free from them lately.

I'm excited to make my own this year. Planning on using Libby and Amber's Holiday Glam. Need to get on taking a new photo of us though!

I make my own. Two years ago I printed at home but last year I sent them by iMessage or e-mail. I'll probably sent out electronic ones that I make this year as well.

I always make my own and print them through my printer...

But this year I'm skipping since I will be sending out a birth announcement in January/February.

This.

The only thing I'm super picky about is putting the kid's first names and ages on them. We have a lot of people we don't see very often and it's hard to remember how old everyone's kiddos are...

Well crap. Mine are already at the printers. I wish I had thought to include names and ages. And we got a new puppy this year and I didn't even include his name! Bah Humbug.
