DQ Ice Cream Cake!!!
Dinner doesn't really matter- I'll usually pick Panera (because my husband doesn't want to go there any other day of the year ) but there's no Panera in Alaska, so anyplace with soup is fine. But I gotta have that ice cream cake!

Oh reading through all of these posts had me salivating!
Growing up we got to pick a meal for my mom to make for us. I always chose Beef Stroganoff.
My darling husband learned how to make Mom's recipe to continue the tradition. This is especially touching since my Mom has now passed. Brings up all the warm fuzzy memories.
And Red Velvet cake! YUM

Prior to COVID and developing GD last year, we used to always go to a local restaurant for each of our birthdays and get pizza, pasta, bread, and ice cream. Now that I'm watching my carbs, I'm just happy to have my Rebel ice cream! Their triple chocolate is a favorite.

Of course we like the usual... cake... treats n such.... but our families favorite birthday party entrée is Poppy Seed Chicken. (I usually have to make 4 trays of it) In fact I usually have to make it for holiday parties as well as all the birthday parties!!

Poppy Seed Chicken

preheat oven to 350 degrees
4 chicken breasts cooked and cut into bite size pieces, put into 9x13 baking dish
Mix one can cream of chicken soup and 8 oz sour cream, spread onto the chicken.
Melt one stick of butter, crumble two tubes of Town House Crackers into the butter and then sprinkle poppy seeds and mix. Them spread over the chicken.
Cover with tin foil, bake 30 minutes covered. Then 10 minutes uncovered.

I love to eat at Fogo de Chao with my family! I always end with a delicious chocolate mousse cake!

I love to have a chicken enchilada, rice, and bean dinner from our favorite mexican restaurant. My second choice is a steak dinner with a baked potato and a sweet potato from another favorite restaurant. My favorite is chocolate cake with buttercream icing and vanilla ice cream.

If asked, my birthday dinner request is homemade lasagna. And for the cake, homemade chocolate mayonnaise cake with homemade caramel frosting. I know the cake sounds odd, but mayonnaise is pretty much oil and eggs, so it makes the dark chocolate cake so moist. And caramel frosting is so sweet, so it is a perfect mix.

I usually get my free Starbucks drink on my birthday. And if I'm lucky, I can get Mexican food, specifically cheese or chicken enchiladas with rice and beans! YUMMY!

I don't have a standard meal at birthdays.
My birthday is in august, so the weather is pretty good most of the time.
I like doing a BBQ or just go out to dinner with my boyfriend and the kids.
There has to be cake of course, and some finger food on the table.

Normally I make a large pan of soup (vegetable and/or tomato) with some bread for people who like to stay for dinner.

My family celebrates birthdays with dinner of choice, followed by cake and presents. Though the dinner usually changes every year, my cake is always a constant...Dairy Queen ice cream cake!

When I was a child my absolute favorite was Schwarzwald cake (a chocolate cake with whipped cream), but exclusively one from a specific store. And as I was back in my hometown in Switzerland for my 40th birthday, my mom surprised me with that specific cake. It was DELICIOUS and just as awesome as I remembered from my childhood! I loved the cake and even more the fact that my mom remembered and did that sweet gesture for me!

My favorite part of birthdays is the free stuff. lol And breakfast with birthday friends. This year we had to skip it. And I am really missing that.
I used SPD's element from her birthday freebie kit and an old freebie from Blogovesta Designs, Coffee With a Friend.

my son usually takes me out for dinner to a great local restaurant and I get the mushroom swiss burger, so good! There will be chocolate somewhere, either a piece of cake or a cupcake.

For the past few years my husband has grilled a big steak for me, it's kind of a tradition at this point, but last year he grilled lobster and shrimp as well...it was muah! (I think it might have to be something I always have for my birthday)
I always have to have cheesecake for my birthday too!

I really enjoy a nice birthday dinner, the last few years my husband has been taking me to Koto (which I love) and my friend and I have a tradition to share a volcano drink. I also enjoy a beautiful chocolate cake now and then

My husband cooks a recipe he doesn't normally do on my birthday which is either eggplant parm or chicken san marco. Chandon champagne is a must as well as publix vanilla cake with buttercream frosting on it for dessert.

CAKE!!! That is my must on my birthday.
I don't really have a specific thing that I want to eat otherwise but I always want something sweet on my birthday.

If I'm not going out for my birthday, and someone else is cooking for me, I request cornish game hens with wild rice. It's been my favorite since I was a kid... I know, what a weird kid. haha

My favourite birthday food is anything I don't have to cook! We sometimes go out for my birthday but as my birthday is the day after my Dad's we often celebrate together... usually at my house! Other family members usually bring a salad or dessert and we have a BBQ.

My birthday is next week and this year my youngest daughter (who recently moved out of home) has invited us all to her house for dinner... I'm not sure how but I have ended up with the job of cooking pulled pork for 20+ people

I think my favourite food on my birthday would involve a trip to our favourite Thai restaurant, a wee glass of sauv blanc and a slice of chocolate cake. Found this picture online - I'm pretty fond of highland coos, so I would absolutely love these cakes on my next birthday.
