Anyone here Gluten Free?
I'm going to a lunch tomorrow and need to bring a salad. The family we are dining with eat gluten free. I'm assuming all veggies are fine, but what about the dressing?
Can anyone give me a brief education or point me to a list of ingredients that are acceptable/not acceptable. Thanks in advance! |

Misty, veggies are fine. Avoid grains (specifically wheat/rye/barley/bran/spelt great list here) A safe bet for dressing is just oil and vinegar (but not malt vinegar--that has gluten). Bleu cheese should also be avoided unless you can confirm the cheese was molded with something other than bread mold.
Here's a list of links to find gluten free dressings by brand. Again--oil/vinegar with some spices/herbs is really safest. http://glutenfreeinsd.com/salad_dressings.html |
