Default is anyone on singulair?

did it make you a total rage monster? I've only been on it for a week or so (maybe a little longer, I'm not sure.. I don't remember when i picked it up ) .. but it's totally throwing my mood for a loop. I know there are all the warnings in the label about mood changes/aggression/anxiety/suicidal thoughts etc.. but I'm not sure if I should just ride it out a little longer. It takes a few weeks to work fully - so all I have is crank and no change in my asthma/allergy issues So it's taking a lot to convince me to take it atm. I know ce's asthma meds make him a crab monster- but this is ridiculous. I've never reacted to a med like this.

Im not but I usually check on drugs.com and input the medication. There are alot of people responding to say how the medication works and any reactions they have had. I know you probably want people you know on here but just thought Id mentiion that in case you had never been on the site. I would not have known about a weird reaction I had to a medicine that my dr prescribed to try to lower my cholesterol if I had not read about it on that site.

I took it for my allergies that would lead to pretty bad chest congestion but it didn't work for me. I tried it for a few weeks to no avail. I use Advair now instead. I had some moody side effects with it but nothing terrible. (I should add I was on Zoloft at the time as well so that might have counteracted some of those depression feelings)

I think as long as you are aware of the emotional side effects and keep those in check then you will be ok. Meds affect everybody differently so your side effects might be different/worse than somebody elses. I'd try it for a couple of weeks b/c I've heard of people with pretty bad asthma/allergies having a wonderful response to the meds

I was on it for a bit and it never controlled my asthma, and it made me super moody(but I was on other meds at the time that may have contributed to it). In the long run, they switched me to advair and it worked sooooo much better.

This just jumped out at me when I saw the drug name. I've been taking it as needed for weeks at a time for a couple of years when my asthma and allergies flare up, and I've never noticed anything while being on it, and it definitely seems to help with the asthma and allergies. I would definitely let your doctor know about your side effects, and especially since it doesn't even seem to be working, he/she might recommend another drug for you.

I haven't taken it myself.. but they had my youngest dd on it when she was little (kid version) and it freaked her out.. night terrors, moodiness, crazy crying spells. Within 3 days of being off it she started going back to her normal self ...

I used to be on it (had to get off due to lack of insurance) for asthma. I had switched to it from Advair. Advair made me evil, to say the least. Terrible anger side effects, not to mention weight gain from the steroids in it. Maybe I didn't notice the side effects from the Singulair due to them being milder than they were on the Advair? I do know it sure helped my asthma.

Wow! I had no idea that people had such issues with Singulair. I have been taking it for a good ten years now. It's the only medicine that I have ever found that really controls my asthma. I have done allergy shots and many, many different kinds of inhalers, but singulair is what really works for me. Having said that, I did not have any side effects when I started taking it... or, they were mild enough that I didn't notice.
