Total scraplift :would you post it in the gallery or not ?!
I've made a few total scraplifts lately and wonder if i really have to post them in the gallery because my opinion, there's not much interest (creatively speaking of course) to post a 100% copy of an existing page ! But i did it on several occasions because : i spent some time working on it and i'm enthusiastic about how the page turned out ! Moreover, i want the original poster to know how much she/he inspired me ! So, i post my total scraplifts and pay attention to give credit to the original poster and when it is permitted i even add a hotlink to the original page.
What about you ?! Have you ever made total scraplifts ?! Have you ever post them in the gallery ?! What do you think about this ?! Looking forward to reading from you ! |

i definitely have and i always post them in the gallery. i even pm the person to let them know. i know i'm totally honored if someone lifts me and i love to see the lifted page, so i assume someone else would like me to do the same.

I have and I make sure to give them credit in the description, hotlinking to their layout. I also post a comment to their layout letting them know.

Thank you for the feedback, Ladies ! I'm glad to know you all share the same opinion and obey the same posting rules about scraplifts, even when they are 100% scraplifts !

I've been thinking about doing total scraplifts, to practice getting my shadows really down pat like some of the peeps here can do. This is good to know!

This is so funny... I didn't know anyone else did this. This is how I taught myself to scrapbook!

Sandy, in my case, when i say total scraplift i don't change a lot and my page doesn't turn out very different from the original one, that's why i wonder if i have to post it or not ! Sometimes, the only things i change is the photo or the alpha ! LOL

Very interesting thread . . . I've never done a total scraplift, but might just have to try it - sounds like a great way to learn!!
(Will definitely credit & hotlink as everyone has described if I do!) |

I never have and don't plan to. But I'd say go on and post them, the person scraplifted will sure be happy.

I've never done a total scraplift, but if I did I don't think I'd post it. But as long as it's properly credited, I don't think there's anything wrong with posting it.

I don't think I would, but I don't do scraplifts very often anyway. And I've never done a total scraplift. But like Rachel, if it's properly credited, I don't see the issue.
When I do scraplift, I ALWAYS link the layout I lifted.

I would post it simply because I use my gallery as my photo album of the stuff that *I* have done. My family likes to look at my LO's and since I don't print stuff out usually then its a way for me to quickly see what I have done.
With that being said- I don't usually 100% scraplift but don't see a problem with it as long as proper credit it given. |
