Default 'fess up

what's your guilty pleasure?
the one thing that you'd be embarrassed if anyone found out you loved?

(whispers) Ke$ha... (/whispers)

My best friend would kill me if he ever found out. Seriously. A slow and painful death. I try to keep that one really close-- I don't let ANYONE know!

i cant even think of anything really truly embarrassing
though i posted elsewhere recently that since my getting sick ive been watching an overwhelming amount of japanese anime.. and there was this one korean teen drama (in korean. subtitled) my brain has gone to mush.
actually the korean teen drama was embarrassing. i watched the whole thing and it was TERRIBLE but i was fixated. if someone showed me another one.. im absolutely sure id watch that too

her songs are so irritatingly catchy! she's so weird. and ugh. but they're so catchy.

my guilty pleasure is late 90's/early 00's pop. mostly cause it's what i listened to in high school. i'm seriously annoyed that i missed the NKOTB/BSB concert when they were in boston this month. tickets sold out so quickly though.

outside of my un-natural love for reality tv? I could watch Real Housewives over and over again... and I am hooked on watching the Young and Restless... it has been 10 years since I watched in all the time in college... I'm back on the wagon, or off the wagon - depending your thoughts of soaps.

Oh - and I LOVE techo music... *ducking*

More so then the first because the guy who played Micheal....OMGosh he is adorable! Umm I watched every episode of The Hills. I love Gossip Girl. I cannot wait to go see The Smurfs movie next month LOL. Oh and I love Ke$ha too.

I scrapped about it I LOVE Korean girl dance music. It is my secret fantasy to look like that and dance like that.

(and La, I LOVE anime too. My sister is a sucker for Korean dramas)

probably the worst is I love Air Supply. My sister played them constantly when I was a kid and I just fell in love with them. I dont know many other people who would admit they love them though.

I'm kinda like this too actually. I'm pretty much an open book. There are some things that I'm completely obsessed with like musical theater, Stephen Sondheim, and James Taylor. And, I know some people think I'm weird because of it. But, I'm not embarrassed about it in the least.

Alright I confess...
I have an unhealthy obsession with reality TV, 80s/90s/00s music, 80s movies and yes iCarly.
OH and magazine hoarding. I seriously LOVE magazines and refuse to get rid of any of them.

Laura......I can't think of anything. Because of your love of Radio Disney, you FORCED me into buying the Lemonade Mouth CD. Love it. I am not really sure what my guilty pleasure would be. Like a couple of the other girls, I am an open book. SO, what is it you want to know?

I was just getting ready to come back and say I forgot I'm an ABC Family junkie.

Seriously. Secret Life, Pretty Little Liars, Switched at Birth, Chloe King, Make It Or Break It... I watch every episode of every one of those shows.
I can't miss them.

At least when Greek was on, I could blame it on the fact that the first season was made during my first semester of College, so it was like I was growing up with the Greek kids... but with Secret Life, PLL, Make It Or Break It, I have NO excuse. And even less so with Switched and Chloe King...

I, too, love Hoarders. I just took my son to Minneapolis where we did all kid related things, after we came home, I asked him what the best thing we did was and he said, "When we got chicken." Apparently, the best part was getting Popeye's drive through, so bet my child would agree with you on that one.

Thought of something. I love making brownies and cookies. Not because I am Sally Homemaker and a good mom. TOTALLY because I love brownie batter and cookie dough. AND I am a horrible mom because I don't share! There I said it. Let the hate mail begin. I feel better with that load of my shoulders. Thanks Laura. It is like you are my priest and I went to confession!

I've become totally obsessed with "The Voice" and while that in itself isn't really embarrassing, what I do after the kiddos are in bed, is. I dance around my living room pretending that the remote is my microphone. And I sing sooo beautifully that Adam Levine just can't help but to fall madly in love with me. I drool for that man!

Unfortunately, I can't sing to save my life...but that doesn't stop me from dreaming! ha

I play video games. I was raised on Nintendo lol. I PWN BOYS (and grown men)! I also beat the snot out of my kid in any and all games, except sports. Well, Wii sports we're close but Xbox sports I don't like.

I hate first person shooter games and don't play those tho.

Wow, that was kinda cathartic.

I don't have any embarrassing guilty pleasures that I can think of - lots of guilty pleasures, just none that I wouldn't want anyone to know about.

However...my BFF is totally obsessed with NKOTB...so much so that it worries me. Every single concert (and I mean every one) that even comes remotely near where she lives, cruises every year...it's bad.

This.. almost exactly this.. except I do like Shake It Up. I like A.N.T. farm and zac & cody and phineas & ferb and most of them. I even watch them w/o the kids home.

A close friend of mine said if NSYNC went on tour, he'd sell his brand new MacBook AND his Louis Vuitton manbag in order to go. I think honestly he'd also sell his soul, but that's just me...

I don't know that I have any real embarrassing things...maybe stuff people don't know....

Maybe my ♥ for classical, Kenny G *swoon* type music & am a hopeless & never-ending romantic, even though there is NO hint to that in my day to day life, ever.

Mine too! My friend just pointed that out to me the other day lol! But I have always loved his voice...Adam Lavines not my hubby's (Sorry B). Guess were pretty lucky to have such good looking husbands
Now onto the embarassing stuff. I love phineas & ferb, reality tv, Harry potter, and video games. Eek!

Oh, many guilty pleasures here.

From the better ones it's Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and Lady Gaga (I still claim they actually make good pop music, but not everybody agrees).

From the worse ones I like Ruslana (hmph), some embarrassing Slovak pop singers, and I've always had a soft spot for South American telenovelas. Right now I'm watching a Turkish one. I love this kind of shows because they are good for my nerves. No ugly violence and such. I can really relax watching them.

Oh, and I kind of like the Eurovision Song Contest. Very embarrassing. :-)

I mean, I watch my fair share of tv garbage, and I'm obsessed with 80's music. But I'm not embarrassed by any of that, lol.

I'm not embarrassed, either, but I tend to get derisive comments from the oh-so-posh crowd on some of my guilty pleasures, so I named those. I find it extremely enjoyable that after I turned 30 I no longer care about such comments. When I was younger I used to hide some things, but I'm over that now. :-)

Well, my secret's not very bad either, and like Adrianka, now that I'm older, I don't really care what other people think. I love fantasy fiction. I've worked in libraries my whole adult life, and fantasy fiction used to be really looked down on, especially in more "posh" libraries. It's becoming a lot more mainstream now, but I've loved it for years and years...like since I was 8. I mostly like epic fiction; I could take or leave the vampire fiction stuff that so pop right now.

Of course! Fantasy and science-fiction are also prone to sarcastic comments from people who don't like them. But I somehow miraculously stopped caring about these even before I learned to ignore the kind of people who make comments.
