Default Enable me, PLEASE

I am getting my wish list together for the sweet rewards shopping spree I am planning, but I need YOUR help. I am at a loss as to where to begin, so can you steer me towards your favorites and your most used kits, elements, alphabets, etc. I want to buy at least 2 items from each designer and would like your recommendations.

My likes, dislikes, and priorities are:
1. I scrap mostly travel, nature, pre-teens and teens, mostly boy, but also some for my niece. I also do some heritage, and I have a few of my son's baby/toddler pictures that I haven't paper scrapped yet, but not many.
2. I like bright colors like oranges, blues, greens, and yellows.
3. I like "earthy" looks and tones (greens, browns, tans, blacks, blues) too.
4. Anything Disney.
5. I can use theme stuff as long as it is versatile.
6. I was a paper scrapper for years, so I still have a preference towards the "paper scrap" look.

I haven't spent much on scrapping in a long time, so I have a decent budget. So bring on your recommendations.

TIA, Diane

Well my favorite designers here are Traci Reed, Kristin Cronin-Barrow, Dani Mogstad and Heather Roselli. Everything is really amazing by all the designers here but those four seem to be the largest folders in my scrapping stuff. At last count my wish list was over 800 dollars because I have not bought anything since April of last year.

Do you use templates? If you do, I'd grab some of Janet's multi photo ones for your travel layouts. I am going to use some for mine and I know they'll look great.

I'll show you some of my favorites...but one will be coming out tomorrow...it's the new kit by Shawna and Lauren called Own It. It's awesome....bright colors, very versatile!!

love this...very versatile

any and/or all of Lauren Grier's Layered Up in You series. They are ALL awesome!

a couple of my favorite fonts:

one of my all time faves:

so these are a few of my faves!!!

Since I am just killing time, I will give you my favorite kit and what I want the most next from each designer. lol This might be hard. Own is first, want is second.

Christy:

Dani (Fun Land, Imagi-Nation, Holiday Spirit, Frosted Flakes & Deep Blue Sea are extremely close runner ups here for fav):

Darcy:

Eva:
(I only own Tick Tock and I am not seeing it here now)

Fee:

Heather:

(I don't have Janet yet since she's so new)

Julie:

KCB
Seriously, a fav is impossible, so I will choose this one, because I requested it and KCB did the most amazing job with my requests:

Krystal:

La:

Or any of her Layered Up in Yous (I think I own them all)

Lauren Reid:

Libby:

uhh...so this is taking forever, I might be back and I might not..lol.

Here are the ones I've used several times:

Christy Lyle:
Summer Brunch

Darcy Baldwin and Misty Cato:
The Write Stuff

Dani Mogstad:
Softly Falling

Eva Kipler:
My Wish For You

Fee Jardin:
well technically my favorite kit is retired, but I do love the following even though I just got it recently:
Yes No Maybe

Kristin Cronin-Barrow:
Family Ties

Krystal Hartley (with Christy Lyle):
All In the Family

Lauren Grier and Heather Roselli:
You Make My World Go Round

Julie Billingsley:
Robots In Disguise

Melissa Bennett:
Alphabet Soup - Its Penny Candy right now!

Misty Cato:
Rocky Shores

ScrapKitchen Designs:
The Village Market

Shawna Clingerman:
Waiting For the Rain

Traci Reed:
Bad Sewing Machine (stitch packs)

Zoe Pearn:
Summer Sorbet (very girly but not)

And I'm sure I missed someone, but that is my favorites from what I own and have used from the designers (and I started about a year ago)! Hope that helps!

May have to make this a multi-post enabling

start with Misty . . . (all images linked to store)

and Fee (of course, my favorite of hers seems to change with the latest kit)

put this in, even though it's not a kit - but i think i've used parts of it in at least 5 of the last 7 pages i've done - and Fee sells a great deal of really super elements separate from her kits

and Julie

As far as alphas/journaling elements go, I second the Write Stuff by Darcy and Misty, as well as these:

and you need a Darcy font - one of her packs is the best way to go . . .

Thank you, thank you! Even though I have been through the store so many times I can't even count now, I probably missed at least 75% of what you guys have shown me!!! So many of those kits and elements that you guys have listed seriously rock I can't believe I hadn't noticed them before. Ok, off to add more and more to my wish list!

And if your favorites aren't listed, please, please list them.

Thanks, Diane

LOL! Well, I don't think my budget is quite that much-- we are 70% done remodeling our house after major water damage, so a couple hundred or so is about my limit this time.

Here's a perfect kit for nature/earthy colors by Kristin and Meghan called Eco Friendly. It's 30% off in Penny Candy right now

Kristin is my fave designer of all time. - you said you have some baby pics of your boy yet to scrap? This is adorable for baby boys:

Also, for elements I love Penny's brush combo pack-these things look great peeking out from behind a cluster of elements or photo:

I used to have a kit by Penny and Kathryn Wilson, but it's not in the shop any more! It was called Little Miss and it had this little wire mesh piece in it. Not sure if there's anything else like it in the shop now, but it was probably my fave piece ever.

Back to finish the store (reminder, own, then want).

Allie:
Oh, my goodness, I just realized my LO is in the examples for this kit, I had gotten it when Allie was still a Sunshine Girl & I was a Sunshine Sweetie. Mine is the middle one.

Manda (I don't actually own any manda solos so just a want):

Melissa:

Misty:

(I am dying to get this one:

Penny:

Scrapkitchen:

Shawna:

Traci:
All of the Bad Sewing Machines are absolutely necessary, seriously.

Zoe:
I made an entire album with this kit.

Don't forget to check out the Double Scoopes & Triple Dips!

basics are fabulous...Traci's stitches, Darcy's fonts and Lauren Griers Layered up in You packs.

Here are some great packs of Darcy's fonts where you can get some of the bestsellers together:

the last two would be my first choices!

Oh, my goodness, you guys are not making this easy for me!! There is so much sweetness here that my wish list is about to go into overload. Thank you so much for taking the time to go through your stash and the store to help me. You have no idea how much this is helping.

Ok, now tell me, how do you prioritize what you are buying with your sweet rewards???

I buy what I already have pictures for first and will usually let myself buy 1 thing I just really like, but don't yet have pictures for so I can get it out of my head.

I'm an alpha addict...so I'll keep this brief!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the one step closer alpha by Lauren Grier. I have the kit which came with the alpha. But I love it SO MUCH that I just might have to buy the layered template for the alpha that Nettie posted earlier in this thread!

the other MUST HAVE alpha, for me, is Zoe's Teeny Type alpha...and it's in Penny Candy now for 30% off!! It's so easy to re-color to get the perfect shade for any LO and it is PERFECT for so many uses. I've seriously used it on at least 10 LOs.

If I were you, and you're getting a big discount this month, I'd LOAD UP on essentials/basics...then you can pick from your stash using kits you already have in many ways!

I'd recommend: Alphas (i'm an admitted alpha addict), Clipping templates - LOVE the Layered Up In You/all worn up in you by Lauren Grier, and brushes/stamps (there are a bunch listed here already!).

Every week as new kits come out you'll find several that you want...so get the basics now while you have the dough!

Thanks for the idea about stocking up on the basics. I went back and checked my wish list- I had 18 alphabets, and I just added 2 more (based on your recommendations). I have some of the clipping templates, so I need to go through my stash and see what I still need. Thanks again for the assistance.
