Welcome baby boy!!!
I hope you get some answers at the Children's Hospital. I'm sure it is frustrating not knowing for sure what is causing the congestion and such. Thinking of you and saying prayers! |

Thank you so much, all.
All of his tests point to a floppy airway that is collapsing under stress. This is not uncommon in children with Down syndrome because of their issues with low muscle tone. It sounds like it's something that will just take time to mature, but we're not sure just how long it will take. He's doing okay right now, and is on tube feeds and high-flow oxygen to help keep his airway open. I've been spending my days at the hospital and it sure is hard to try to balance everything. I'm thankful that my DH is off work for the next couple of weeks, but I feel so torn between my kids at home and Timothy at the hospital. I just hope it won't be long before we can bring him home. |

You all are so sweet. Thank you.
He seems to be getting a little better each day, but it's going to take some time before he's strong enough to come home. For now, we're thankful for the slow but sure improvements we're seeing in his development. |

They say slow and steady wins the race, so I will keep praying that Timothy gets well at the pace he needs to stay well. Are you going to call him Timothy, Tim or Timmy, or some other version?
