Birthday Traditions

My birthday was yesterday. Our usual tradition is that the birthday person gets to choose their favorite restaurant for dinner, and I either make a cake and we sing happy birthday and open presents at home (our family is fairly introverted and don't like to have the servers sing to them in restaurants )
For my kids & hubby, I put up "happy birthday" banners, and when they were little, I had a birthday button that they would wear to school.
We had birthday parties for the kids when they were younger. I had my first ever birthday party when I turned 29.
Ours are pretty simple celebrations.
