Your first EVER uploaded layout.....
Okay Libby called me out and (I was trying to get away with my first SSD layout after I'd been scrapping for 7 mos) therefore, I have started this VERY FIRST layout thread too.
Here is mine, I didn't even know how to size the image right! LOL I created this using some free software that I don't even remember the name of now! LOL There are NO shadows and the full resolution image is like 320 x 320. Seriously, what will I ever do with that? LOL December 23, 2008 Then, 2 days later...I learned to at least size layouts appropriately: December 25, 2008 I don't even know who this kid is..... It was like a RAK or something. Shannon G (ZaCola3) actually commented on this one that it was cute. Bwahahaha

March 26th, 2007. This is the only layout I ever did in this size, so don't ask me what on earth I was doing.

Okay....my first ever paper page.
Done in August 2001: and another one, the 2 page spread: You know....I was just taking a quick browse through my paper albums. I really see a ton or similarity in my paper and digital style. I try to use every up lots of space and cram tons of stuff on them! Right?

Here's my very first one from it was created in May 2006, though I didn't upload for a few months. BTW, Kjersti, my second LO ever was a 2 pager just like my first one here was. bahaha..I like to start with a bang apparently.
Here's the 2 pager, wanna guess who made the kit? Yep, its a La kit from WAY back when. Yeah, I had no idea how to cut strips of paper, so I just squished it. |

My first ever digi submission (at another site), I guess I knew about shadowing, but it still looks flat to me. (May, 2009)
This is one of my first paper submissions; at this point at I had been paper scrapping in 12x12 format for approximately 2 years. (Dec, 2008) They are even sized the same. But they both are the same size IRL!

This is the first one uploaded in my gallery...in June 2009! I apparently was too afraid to upload before then, because I was definitely scrapping before then!
That title work makes me feel kinda twitchy now.

well, my intro to digi scrapping was my friend Kristin (SmallMoments) telling me to check out the cookie challenges at SSD, so my first digi layout is the same as the other thread... I have shadows only because I was YIMing with her the whole time I was doing the layout and asking her a million questions along the way, poor thing, lol. I'm so thankful for her encouragement and patience, lol.
so my first comment was from her, after she walked me through how to save for web and how to upload to the gallery and my paper albums are still packed until we open up the family room and can fill up the bookcase, so I don't have a pic nor know where that box is |

This is my first uploaded layout on July 28, 2008. One of the reasons I started digi-scrapping was to do athlete albums for each of my boys. So I started with sports layouts. Very simple, but I still like it.

My first ever layout WAS my first layout posted to SSD.
It was for a challenge, and I've already re-done it in another challenge. Bit addicted. When Lauren Grier commented it 3 days after I uploaded it I literally jumped for joy. That's what encouraged me to keep going - all your lovely love ladies. So thankyou. So much.

Before I knew what Digi-Scrap was, I thought I was cool, because I could do this:
October 2006 Then I found 'real' digi-scrap & managed this, as it's titled scrap-attempt1 May 2008 a month or so later

Here's mine! I made it for a friend back in April of 2007 - I always loved the photos she took. I can actually remember how proud I was of this, lol. I even made my own tape - whoo-hoo, lol.
It was my very first layout using downloaded freebies (not a program like Scrapbook Factory or something). I remember wondering how was I ever going to get the hang of this digital thing since I was so used to having all my (paper) supplies spread out around me as I worked. |

I love threads like this. I did a tread of my own a while ago - here be the link if you're interested.
This was my first-ever layout with digi-scrapping goodies (July 2008): And this was my first-ever try to do something in Photoshop (summer 2003). It wasn't until later that I realised I was already thinking in scrapbooking terms - I never knew what scrapbooking was until 2008. Actually, I'm not ashamed for either of them.
