Default That's it!

I have buried the land line phone to sound proof it. Understand, noone, and I mean noone, with a couple exceptions and it's not like they don't have my cell phone number, ever calls me on it. And if it means if that million to one chance I'd win some stupid contest,so be it,lol. I've had it!
There've been 3 calls within the last hour. Two political voice mail calls and a charity (that had the decency to accept my "no" and not make me hang up on them). These are the only types of calls we get (of course, the occassional something else comes up) and I am in no mood today to field these garbage calls, lol.
Thanks for letting me vent. I realize it was a strange solution, but it beats going nuts and tossing the phone somewhere irretrievable, lol.

LOL!! Isn't this time of year annoying? I think I take about a poll a day, and I can't STAND it when all the charity calls start. I'll give money where I want to, thank you very much!

The exact reason why I turn our ringer off and screen all calls when I do have it on...

I am SO with you. If I get ONE more call about McCain or Obama - I am gonna friggin scream!! Right now, the sound of fingernails on a chalkboard is a much better sound than either of those names. Ugh!

I don't know what I'd do without caller ID. That thing is a life saver!

I just never answer my phone unless I'm expecting a call. I have caller ID so I don't ever answer numbers I don't know.

If I don't know the number, I don't answer it, too many telemarketers call here all the time.

I got REALLY sick of all the political calls 4 years ago and called the District Attorney's office to see if there was anything that could be done...I was trying to homeschool and the phone rang constantly (and also until 10pm!!!). They had me RE-REGISTER to VOTE and this time I was NOT to fill in my phone number! It took at least 6 months to fall OFF the voter registration lists that people had run off.

Knock on wood....so far...no political calls this election!!!

That's why we got rid of our land line about 5 years ago! Best thing we ever did! Now dh & I are totally cellular (AT&T, of course Brooke ) We don't get any political calls or sales calls anymore! Absolute bliss!
