Default A few things I've learned after my first hybrid album

1. Don't forget to add journaling before you send it to the printer.
2. Ink, Me, not real good friends
3. Glue Dots-I hated you until I read the directions on the box, now I guess I will forgive you for all the horrible things you did to me this am.
4. The cropodile has different settings for hole size...directions can be a good thing.
5. If my MIL doesn't ohhh and awwww over this album, I may just go into a fit of rage.

Too funny! Hey, if we all do this with each project, we'll soon have all the bugs worked out of anything hybrid!!

I'm sure she'll LOVE it!!

Well, did it at least turn out?

As for the journaling...go grab a black Zig pen at M's or your LSS and handwrite your journaling! That way it's a bit more personal...

I'm sure she'll see how much work you put into it and love it!

Ohhh yes, it turned out!
And even though I totally ruined one page with ink, I put my thumb print right on Zak's face...I totally LOVE it, which is why I will be sad if she doesn't!

I know she will though, I'm getting ready to add the ribbons to the jump rings!

Here is a pic-Notice the sloppy inked edges, that look like total crap, but for some reason I'm still really proud.

I shall quote my dear friend Ali (yes, in my mind we are BFF ): Perfection is overrated. Imperfection is real. And real is what scrapping is all about.

OK...maybe she didn't say those exact words, but you get the meaning It looks fabulous, Shannon. You shoudl be really proud! And I'm sure your MIL will be over-the-moon about it!

Looks great, Shannon! the inking looks fine to me. anyway, it's boy album so it should be a little grungier looking, right? I'm sure your MIL will love it!

(How do you feel about giving away your first hybrid album? I made my first as a gift for my sister's bday and still have not given it to her and her bday was over a week ago . . .)

Looks great Shannon!
And I'll echo what Pam said - Slick Writers are great for journaling (or even outlining) after the fact; they come in different colors (black, red, blue, green, purple, pink) and different thicknesses (Bold, Medium, and Fine). Lifesavers!

I love it Shan!!! I think it looks FABULOUS!!!

I just got all of my pages glued/taped on my "Jack" album tonight. I will sand the edges and ink tomorrow. I need to find some ribbons to match the Tiki Wiki kit now.

Well-I'm making an album using Dani's Road Trip album for my mom...I'm waiting on a few things Meggy picked me up at her LSS so I can feel more confident.
One thing is the little finger knife Robin showed us, the other a few packages of felt shapes, and then she went last night and picked me up two slick writer markers...
