Default Show me your favorite pictures from the weekend

Or you know last week if you didnt have any picture taking oppurtuinities this weekend....or just from the whole month. I just wanna see some pictures

Here are some of mine:

My husband and I went to the botanical gardens and I took tons and tons of pictures. I just love the rose gardens there and I love taking pictures of the different roses. Here are some of my favorites from the gardens:

A hibiscus I liked.

And Im not sure on what this flower is but thought it was pretty:

Then on Saturday we went to the zoo in Tampa. Here are my favorites from there:
I already shared this one. I just think it is funny how the orangutan hides with the palm frawns:

Then this little baby was trying to make it up to its momma. It was so cute watching him (her?) climb up:

While it's momma sits and watches it waiting patiently

And the baby finally gets its momma and climbs up for a ride on her back:

Then this little guy was just a big clown. He was just cracking me up with his antics. sliding down the walls, rolling and falling over. He is finally taking a break here:

Couldnt resist this photo for obvious reasons LOL:

And finally some pictures of a river at the state park we went to. They were taken from a suspension bridge. One side of the bridge there were rapids. The other side was perfectly still.

It was a great weekend overall. Sunday we went to see Fast 5...that was more for my husband and my son as they both loved it. Me not so much LOL. It was ok I guess. No pictures from there though. Sooo share some of your favorite pictures and of course why you love them or any funny stories to go with them

All from yesterday, we took the kids fishing & checked out a campground for this weekend (which looks like will be a no-go since it's supposed to POUR rain--boohoo)
The Lake:

Fum-Fum (my kids' special name for my mom) & the kidlets:

Our visitor (one of the 2)

Exploring:

Enjoying her picnic lunch sweet treat:

Her 1st fish (my mom's BF, the kids call him Papa & he hates it, cause he's 'too young')

those are great Amanda. It looks like a beautiful place to camp. I used to love to camp out but now with my bad back/neck and my husbands bad back camping out in a tent is a no-no. We would not be able to move in the morning. There are a few places around us where you can rent cabins which weve talked about doing. Maybe one day we will get some extra money to buy a small camper or even a van with a built in bed! Thanks for sharing those pictures

I am loving all your pictures! I hate to admit that I didn't get my camera out this weekend! I am totally slacking. I need to get it out more. The last couple of weeks I have just neglected my momarazzi duties.

She had a giant Elmo head cake...it was homemade and the icing stained everything lol. It was a lot of fun. She had a good time. Cake was everywhere!

Looks like you all had fun this weekend! Great pictures. We went on a much-delayed zoo trip. DS chose the zoo for his birthday activity 2 months ago, but we've gotten rained out every time we tried to go. Finally on Sat. we had perfect weather.

All 3 kids actually looking at the camera at once!

My camera-hating DH, who usually scowls or makes a silly face when I try to take his photo

Our favorite animals this trip. The mom and baby were so cute playing, but they moved too fast for my camera.

Nikki they are both sooo cute and omgosh the water is so blue in your photos. Is that the gulf or atlantic? We dont make it to the gulf very often and I know it looks alot different then the Atlantic Ocean. The water at the Atlantic side is more a greenish color. Not that brilliant blue for sure LOL.

Destin is in the gulf of Mexico...the waters are gorgeous...it's amazing the difference between Florida and MS beaches...ours are not nearly as clear...usually murky a lot of the time..but we're closer to the MS River so I guess that's partly the reason.

It was GORGEOUS..the weather was a little cool the first day we were there but day no. 2 it was like 78 degrees and crystal clear skies..it was the first time either kid had seen the beach. We had a really good time...it was a last minute trip but I'm glad we went ahead instead of waiting til later in the summer when it would be so hot.

I usually go to the east coast beaches and while they are nice they dont have that blue color. Its more like a green/blue and not clear. I love going to the gulf but driving to the west coast of Florida from us is like 2 hours whereas we can be to Playalinda in about 25 minutes and Cocoa in about 40.

I use a Nikon 17-55 2.8 lens and these were all without the flash (I hate flash!!) using the high ISO capability of my D7000. I love that lens for the wide angle I can get inside. Every time I put on the 50mm one I hate that I'm so close. I bought the zoom lens used from a professional photographer who was getting new ones.

Oh and Jessica...my first name is Kim. Don't know when I deleted my siggy, better fix that. Maybe I'll do a fancy-dancy one like you all!

We LOVE Destin area (we were stationed at Panama City for 8 months)!! The beach and ocean really are like a postcard aren't they!

When we go to Disney next week we are going to take half a day and go to Coco beach (DS1 requested we go to the ocean while we were there) and I hope to get some great shots there too!

Metal ramp is for the little ones. They push it down the ramp instead of granny bowling now. I didn't know about them either until another mom there pointed it out. The thing is the ball comes off the bottom at a bump so there is always some randomness to the roll, which doesn't matter as much for bumper bowling I guess.

Oh and we loved that you can program the bumpers for specific players now. So boys had bumpers we did not.

Saturday I took my youngest to get her hair cut (her choice). It's shorter than we normally go, but I think it suits her!

Sunday was my oldest's 9th birthday party. I took this at the start before she messed up her hair.

And yesterday was her birthday. Because it was a holiday, my ILs, BIL, his wife and daughter came up to visit for the afternoon. My ILs gave her a new bike...she LOVES it!

Thank you, I have a canon and bought the nifty fifty and am also disappointed. I hate that there is no focus and have only used it once.
