Dry-erase board help :)
So, I was thinking of making some simple tabletop dry-erase boards for some friends for Christmas. I'd like to include a pen as well, but I'd also want to put it in its own holder like on the side of the board or on top. Would anyone know how I can do that?
Or can I buy pens that have their own holders? LOL I have no clue. |

Hmmm.....you could add a little ledge to the bottom of the frame so the pen just lays on it.
Or use a big eyelet, screw it to the side of the frame and the pen sits in it. Wish I had a pic to show you what I mean. You could hot glue a magnet to the pen, and a magnet to the board, or use velcro (hook and loop) I'm not sure how thick your board is, but here's an idea to attaching the pen: http://www.ccreations.com/clipsale.htm

If the pen has a shirt clip then you can also make a holder by looping a piece of ribbon and attaching it to the dry erase board.

Wheee, those sound like awesome ideas! Jacinda, I did think of a ledge but wasn't sure what material to use for it. Hmm, I'll take a look around to see what I can use.
Yes, I saw several pens similar to what you linked to. I'm wondering now if I could just find pens with their own clips. Wolf, I love your idea! Simple and I can make it extra-pretty with ribbons Thank you both! |
