Default GGG Summer Edition

So GGG is always such a bittersweet time around here...at least for me.

Show me what you're buying!!! And did y'all see the new collab!?!?!? It's amazing!!!! I wanted to use everything in it.

I have a love/hate with GGG... I have to move SO much into my retired folders and it makes me sad since I love so many of those collections! BUT I LOVE getting a good deal so I always end up grabbing some favorites off my wishlist!

So hard to decide since there are so many beautiful kits! And the thrift shop kit is adorable - totally worth spending the extra to get it!
I ended up getting -

Loved the embossed papers in the add-on for this pack

It's a sad, but happy time! So many kits that I love are retiring! It just gives me a guideline of what I need to scrap this next week, before they are gone from the store!

No budget to buy anything though! Sad that some from my wishlist will be gone forever!

The great thing is, you can keep using retired kits here at SSD. As long as the designer is still selling here, you can use any of their products for challenges etc.

What do you mean you need to scrap with them before they leave the store? You can still use retired kits for store challenges, to put your layouts in the gallery, and things like that. As long as the designer isn’t retiring, they are still ok to use.

I'm not usually an every week shopper (silly budget!) but I've shopped the last 2 weeks because there were some new releases (and Kristin's FWP) that I loved and knew I'd use a lot. And now between GGG and the beautiful collab I guess I'm making it 3 weeks in a row! I've gone through everything once, but I need to narrow down my GGG wish list.

I've gone through the whole GGG list once. I own some, I want some, I NEED some.

Basically, I haven't decided yet.

Very bittersweet indeed. I am not seeing what I still do not own and it is just too much to purchase everything so I will have to make some difficult decisions for sure

I never moved the retired items to a retired folder but I need to start doing that for sure...saves me looking for the item in the store when I've scrapped with it

Oh, I totally agree about the deals...I love a good deal too !

I have never moved SSD products to a retired folder, since we can still use them. Maybe I should?!

I'm an out of sight, out of mind kind of person. If I had a separate folder of retired kits I'd never look there and wouldn't use them. If you want to keep track without moving them you could add an R at the end of the kit name.

I've finally narrowed it down, and now I need to have the willpower not to go back. So no one post anything that I overlooked and would want, okay?

I got the 2 FWP items and:

Yeah see, I'm the same, I like them there so I can still scrap with them.

(Our plan had been to travel to Australia for Christmas this year...Yup, that's not happening. But at least I'll have this kit so I'm ready to scrap once we finally get there!)

Y'all are NOT making this easy. LOL I have been out of the loop for a few years and only back for a few months so I am building my stash. I need it all. I am not sure my monthly allowance will allow for that though.(Yes, I have an allowance..LOL) Hubby and I give each other a certain amount each month that we call blow money...no questions asked..for lunch out with friends, little extras or for me scrapbooking. My wish list is growing and growing with this thread...

Here is my haul...Now keep me out of the store...LOL

Great Outdoors Adventure and Explore...I am loving the Great Outdoors series and how they all match and can work together so it is like have one giant mega kit. I have Lakeside, playground and Happy Camper (not great outdoors but matches very well) so far plus these two now. I didn't grab Earth or country or beauty but debating...I have a few more hours right

I grabbed this one. I had it then took it out but it kept popping back up to me so I knew I had to have it..not sure why yet...LOL Anyone else have this problem.

I want all the templates but only grabbed two. I am a fan of anything that helps me get a ton of photos on a page and still let you see most of them...I take THOUSANDS of photos on our trips or outings and we take a lot of trips. I have gotten better at deleting photos but still like to put in a lot of photos. I rarely scrap one or two photos.

GGG is such a bittersweet time! There are so many beautiful items being retired, but I'm very glad we can still use them as long as the designer is at SSD!!

I don't move mine to a retired file either. They just stay in the designer's file.

She just means she needed to look at her photos, plan ahead for what photos she wants to scrap using the products from this GGG sale.

It's hard for me, too! I feel proud of my designs and I feel like retiring them is saying I don't appreciate them anymore! But some need to be re-vamped and retiring them gives me that push.

I would imagine it's hard to choose what to retire, Meagan. But, what a fun project to revamp some old favorites!
