Default That was then.. this is now

SO something kind of funny happened when I loaded my family ties kit into the shop. I saw I already had one by the same name. I actually have hardly any recollection of making this but I found the preview on pinterest. I don't know how old it is but i'm hoping really old. LOL!

I just thought it would be funny to share a before and now with how much kits have really changed over the years

Other designers - feel free to play along! LOL

Here's mine before with Kristin's original "Family Ties" kit when we were just a family of 4.

And here is the layout I did yesterday with Krisitin's newest "Family Ties" kit of our newest family member, Clover! She's a Bernedoodle. And for reference, Keira is in her first year of college, Cooper is almost 16 and we have another boy, Harper who will be 11 in a couple weeks since I created this layout. I'm guessing Cooper is about 14 months old here, it was our last Easter in Alaska. So 2009.

Kristin, oftentimes when I'm browsing Pinterest, your kits pop up! I have a digital scrapbook wishlist as well as some that are the kits I own so I guess the algorithm just thinks it needs to show me more scrapbook kits. Unfortunately, a lot of them are retired. I wondered if you, or any other designers, ever considered redoing or releasing some older kits?

Here are some that have popped up that I just adore:

How fun! I still love my old pages with older kits but it's fun to see how designers (and scrappers) have evolved!

I love how the talent has developed here at SSD. I loved the kits back in 2008, but look at what we get now! Mind blowing.

we need a challenge to dig into our stash and create a side by side page - or blending the yesterday with today together.... I know I have almost all your kits, K, on my server... <3

What a neat thing to see side-by-side! I've hung onto all my older kits ... sometimes I like going back and using kits that were released around the same time as the photos were taken.
