Prayers please :)
Hey guys! I generally don't post too much about personal stuff...but my little boy needs some prayers or good thoughts if you have them.
 About a week or so ago Gabriel was complaining about knee pain and sure enough it was swollen. So we called the doctor and he went in and the doc couldn't find anything wrong at all. He told us to give him ibuprofen 3 times a day and call back in a few days if it was still bothering him. That is was probably a sprain and would be ok. Well, the first two days were rough. Gabe wouldn't do anything but sleep.  He had a couple accidents which was completely abnormal for him because he has never had an accident ever. Not even while potty training. But then he was fine! Totally rowdy, rambuctious, and a normal 5 year old again. After that he would randomly tell me his knee hurt when I would ask him to like pick up his room, go to bed, etc. So I assumed it was fine and he was just milking it.Last night he woke up in hysterics and really really freaking out saying his knee hurt again. We got him outta bed and sure enough it was swollen again.  Today, he's been in a lot of pain and has only laid down all day. He had one accident again. I called the doc and they told me to bring him in first thing in the morning to start lab work and xrays. He said he couldnt' see a correlation between the knee and the accidents but that he would look into all of them.I am just worried...about my Gabey and about the financial burden since it will all only be covered after we meet our deductible and I just got a computer...etc. So any prayers would be really appreciated. I am sorry for rambling so much. Thanks guys!

poor kid :[ knee pain is the worst! maybe he's just not getting up cause it hurts so bad? He's in my heart!

thanks guys! I asked him about just not getting up in time or afraid to walk cause of the pain and he just can't give me a straight answer...he's just too little. The doc said that was pretty normal for a 5 year old..but it's frustrating. A mama knows when her baby isn't himself ya know...and something is so outta whack here.
He said that we might have some results by tomorrow night so I will keep you posted.

Hope you find out what is causing it this time! Poor little guy!
I hate deductables. Luckily the doctor won't want the money right away and you probably have a couple months to work up the money since they have to submit the bill to insurance first. After that just work out a payment play with the bookkeeper. I worked as a medical bookkeeper for years and they really try to work with the patients. Hugs to you!

Julie, that's what my mom said, lol! I am glad about that and we have the money in savings..but I hate to get it out ya know? The economy is still not great around here and Winter is coming so garret's job will slow down a bit.. boo!
Leah, I have wondered about the growing pains and I hope that's all it is. Would it cause swelling like that though? thanks for all the good wishes you guys. You are the best.

Ill keep you in my thoughts!! My daughter around 3 kept complaining about her wrist hurting. I had to take her in for xrays and the doctor said that it was probably just growing pains. It went away on its own but lasted on/off for a couple weeks. I dont remember swelling though so that is not something I would think would have come with just growing pains but then Im not a doctor. Well anyhow hope it turns out to be nothing. Update us when you know more

I have 3 boys that went through what they called growing pains...but never any swelling or accidents. I am glad you are going to get it checked out...please let us know what happens! You are in our thoughts for sure!

Thanks you guys! We just got back. Gabe did so well! He was very very scared and cried a bit about both the xray and blood work (mostly the blood work...) but he did excellent! We are waiting on results. The doctor thought they would be in today sometime.
