Christmas shopping is done...
and I think I just bought the one gift I can't WAIT to give lol. We got my parents a new DVD camcorder...to replace their vintage 1987 relic that they still haul out every holiday lol..I'm not kidding..it's one of the old HUGE camcorders that uses VHS tapes..the kind that had to sit on your shoulder it was so heavy...they bought it when I was 13 and I'm 35 now so I'll let you do the math b/c it depresses me a little lol...
Anyway..it's been a running joke for the past few year b/c my parents are of the mindset that if it still works why replace it? So when it became apparent that VHS tapes would soon be obsolete my mom stocked up on them so she'd have some and my poor Daddy always gets designated to be the video man and he has to stand in the corner by an outlet b/c the battery died years ago and of course you can't buy a replacement for it anymore..so he has to be able to plug it in...it's really hilarious, but I think it's time to let "old Bessy" go and join us in the year 2009 lol  I just hope they like it.

LOL sounds like our video camera! I kind of hinted at DH that I wanted one, not sure if he heard/cares LOL!

and you know what's funnier is that this new one was about 1800 dollars CHEAPER than the one they bought back then lol..I think they paid over 2000 dollars for it..and for them that was A LOT of money..I think that's why they've held on to it for so long lol

You should do a layout documenting the story Nikki! It is such a great story!! (and its funny because my MIL used one of those film cameras I think 110? This right here:
 She would probably still use it if she could. I dont think I have seen this film in years though.
