I had my boy when I was 26 (2008) and we are not done - hopefully we'll have another within the next year or so! The jury is still out beyond baby #2 - I could go for 3, hubby says 2 will be enough!

I'm 33 and my youngest is almost 2...I THINK we're done but sometimes I yearn for ONE more (although that would be #6 eek) My DH is 1/7 and his dad is 1/9. I'm only 1/3 but my mom was 1/6 and grandmother is 1/8 so big families are the norm in our family.

I voted that I was done, but really who knows. I never say never about that now. I have 11 years difference between my two kids, so I'm not really opposed to having another one in 4-5 years.

I was 24 when DD was born, and she's our first. We are planning 1 more (I say planning, because I wouldn't mind a 3rd)...

I had mine at 18, 21, and 23 and really thought I was done, but along comes a huge life change and we will be trying to get pregnant next year. DF will be 38 this Saturday and doesn't have any of his own and really wants one. Me, I'm 44 so it's a bit scary for me, but we'll try anyway. We'll look into adopting if that doesn't work out.
And I have to say I'm much more ready to have one now than I ever was when I was younger. |

I was 28 when I had my second, and I am super done. SO is not done though, so I guess we are still debating it I'm gonna win He wants a boy, but with my luck I'd probably have 10 girls before I got a boy! My youngest is 3 (4 in September), and I do not miss all the nappies, screaming in the middle of the night, the four bazillion things you have to pack just to go to the shops..
I really want to get my tubes tied or something, but as SO still has hope for another one, I guess it'll have to wait. I'm just fed up with being so careful - I think I am super fertile or something. I was on the pill the first time I got pregnant, and the second time it only took one month of trying, so I'm always panicking |

I confused myself working this out, lol.
I nearly put the age I was when I had my oldest then realised it was the last one I had. I was 20 when my youngest was born & I think I'm done, but as I'm silly only 24 you never know for sure.

I was 29 when DD was born and 34 when DS was born and we're so done. 36 was my personal cut off but we knew 2 was the right number for us.

Rebecca - I didn't even START having babies til 35. Unless that's a number you guys set up long ago that you wanted for later in life to be done with kids, you shouldn't rule it out just because you're 35.

I was 24 when my youngest was born. I am 31 now and there is a chance we might have another in 2 or 3 years.

We had Alex when I was 31, and biology dictated we'd have to leave it at that. I guess it turned out to be a good thing as its been tougher than I ever thought it would be raising our boy - but I do occassionally think 'what if....', but less often now I'm rapidly approaching 40!

Done and Done! I started having babies at 18 ended just at 28 I have 5 kids I am sooooo over the baby days. I love babies but when I see them the first thought that comes to my mind is "I am sooooo glad that's them and not me." I think that means you are done. hahah

I was 24 when Logan was born, he's 8 months old. I am hoping that we are done because I don't think my body could handle another pregnancy but we also have every form of contraception ruled out for one reason or another. I remember saying I was done after Leo was born, then when he died things changed. I also said I was done after our 2nd miscarriage but apparently Logan had other plans.

had my last baby at 27. but being done has nothing whatsoever to do with my age, and more to do with the fact that we have four now, and also, my oldest was 8 years old... i figured a decade in the baby stage was plenty!

I'm pretty new here and don't post much so none of you know me but I was intrigued by the poll and after reading all of your comments I'm even more intrigrued and I think maybe I should get some kind of award for being the oldest (some of you will think stupidest) mom to respond.
We had our last when I was 43. My kids are currently 27, 25, 23, 19, 15 and 6. I am a grandma of one with #2 due next month. I had my first child at 22 and I always wanted a big family and knew I would have a baby in my forties. We didn't really plan for or I would have had the last one at 40 but he has been such a joy in our lives and it is so fun to watch his siblings interact with him and watch him with his baby nephew that it's all good. Truth be told I would loved to have had another one after him but it just didn't work out that way. I have had kids in three different decades. lol |

I'm 22 and we are still trying for our first together. Have been for 3 years. Our cutoff is 7 years from now when DH retires from the Army.

I was 29 1/2 when E. was born last August.
Before we got married, DH agreed that we would have two children together. Since he already has a 7 year old son and now an 8 month old daughter, he'd be perfectly content stopping now, but since T. is only here 30% of the time, I don't want E. growing up, for all intents and purposes, like an only child and being any more spoiled rotten than she already is by her grandparents. We've preliminarily discussed wanting to have 3 years between E. and the next one which would put me at 32-ish and Jeff at 36-ish. Since he wants to be done by 40, I don't know whether we'll be able to sneak another in before then. I'd love to have 3 or 4 or even 5 kids, but not biologically. I just don't really enjoy pg or the little baby stage; I'd love to get them from the store at 6 or 7 months old. *lol* If I had my way, we'd have two bio and two adopted, but I'm not sure I can convince Jeff that that's a good idea. The thought of five kids scares the crap out of him. |
