Default NSBR: Eyebrow Threading?

What is this? I saw it on another thread and curiosity is getting the better of me.

one word....

Painful.

I've done it three times, in hopes that it would get better - hahaha - yeah. it never did. I'm back to waxing/tweezing. In my mind, these two hurt WAY less.

Thanks girls! Sounds painful. Think I'll stick to waxing...

Seriously painful. Worse that tweezing IMO.

But it does seem to last longer or maybe I'm just fooling myself to make the pain seem worthwile.

i prefer threading to waxing. threading does seem more painful b/c the process takes longer, but it's still pretty quick. but i think it's easier on the skin b/c hot wax isn't being applied.

also around here at least, it's cheaper than waxing.

threading didn't last as long as waxing to me. I get a wax for $8 bucks or threading for I think 6, but I have to thread like very 2 weeks or so..I only have to wax once a month lol

My friend Sonali, who is Indian, does it. She loves it....I like my little tweezer.

My sister had been trying to talk me into this. I just tweeze mine. In December, my manicurist talked me into a wax, and I ended up with the nastiest rash for nearly two weeks. My whole eyelid was so gross...it seriously looked like some kind of disease. I'm sure threading would probably not cause that, but I can't say I want to take the time to do it.

I've never waxed, but compared to tweezing them myself it seems to last longer. Might just be they are getting more off than I do by myself because I am a wuss about hurting myself.

I did it a while ago, it didn't feel any different to me than waxing, but it took longer. If it were more painful, I'm sure I'd remember it but since I don't it was about the same. I didn't do it again since I didn't like the way she shaped them, it was like an arch and I just like clean up.

Didn't Oprah have this on a few years ago when she was really into eyebrows - I think that if the person who does it really knows what they are doing it's not as painful - I think that I will just stick with my caterpillars!

So does everyone have a unibrow? And we all just pluck/wax/and now thread apparently them? Cuz I always thought I was the only one.

I did electrolysis for a year, didn't work. I did the lazer treatment, and it reduced it, but I still have to pluck it. But I suppose it's better than having no hair at all, right?

I've been waxing for years but tried the threading a couple of months ago. I've had it done 3 times now and it hurt like crap. I do think it last longer than waxing and with waxing I sometimes get a yuky rash. I wish I could afford laser hair removal. My problem area is more by chin and above my lip
