Default Hand drawn journalling lines?

I love the way journalling looks when it has hand drawn lines under it but for the life of me I can't get it to look right. Those that do it really well can you please share some tips on how to do it?

I don't have a bamboo tablet, so I can't draw them myself. Anytime I want to use doodled lines I scour my kits and use the elements already created. Like this one:

Oh duh! I never thought to use it but I have an iPad and Apple pencil! I will give them a go. Thanks!

I do the same Jacinda, because I'm way too anal to try to draw them myself. I'm not good at doing "messy" on purpose... the perfectionist in me won't let me draw them uneven. They never look right when I try to do them, yet I love the ones other designers make. I'm weird that way.

I use a tablet so can draw my own lines but if you used your computer you could use the shape tool to create a line (I think its the shape tool right?, its been a long time and I forget how to do in photoshop) and then warp it or liquify it to push it into a messier line. I think that would work.
