Default who scraps on a mac?

i have a friend who is under the impression that because she has a mac, she can't digi-scrap. I'm a pc girl so i have no first-hand knowledge of macs, but i am sure it can be done. so if you scrap on a mac, what programs do you use, and do the digi files have to be in a different file format? any other tips would be much appreciated.

(nak, sorry for the lack of capital letters!)

I do! ... and I bought my Mac last year specifically for digi scrapping!

I use CS4 (Photoshop) to scrap, but before that I used Photoshop Elements. The files aren't any different - I personally find it much easier to scrap on a Mac. On my PC I had to go through and unzip each and every file - I don't have to do that on my Mac.

I'm sure others will offer more. I have a serious head cold/flu and am not thinking too clearly.

Yup... I have. My Mac isn't my friend at the moment, but I do have Photoshop Elements on the Mac as well as on the PC. So, I mainly use my mac to download my zip files... I like the whole "unzipping" side vs. doing it on the PC that takes forever!

I scrap on a Mac - don't know why she would think she couldn't do it. There are actually quite a few Mac girls around here. I use Photoshop CS3.

I scrap on a Mac too.. I got my mac about 18 months ago and I love it! I'm scrapping with CS4 and its a breeze! I view all my kits in Bridge which is a great way to be able to view the whole kit at once.

I'm a Mac girl as of last October. I use PSE8 and have never thought "man, a PC would be better for this". All the files unzip easily and are there waiting in my little downloads file

lol I scrap and design on a mac too... and PS runs soooo much better on it than on my PCs. Her Mac will be able to handle all the files just fine, she just needs the Mac version of whatever software she wants. I use Photoshop CS4, but Photoshop Elements would be a good start for her.

I scrap on a mac and love it!! Use cs4, and Adobe bridge to tag my stuff, even if you can easily tag your stuff with a mac without any software. And Photoshop its awesome on a mac, considering it was build at first Just for mac.

I've been scrapping on a Mac for about a month and a half and it's perfect. I use CS4, lightroom.. It's so much faster and easier than a PC !

I do all my photo editing (Lightroom) and scrapping (PSE 6) on a MacBook and an iMac. I love Apple computers sooo much! (Though I do choose to have a BlackBerry instead of an iPhone!)

Maybe she doesn't realize that she can buy photo editing software specifically for a mac.....like maybe at some point she saw PSE Or PS and it said it was for PC so she thought you can't use it on mac?
