mac users!

i am officially the proud owner of a brand spanking new iMac! WAHOOOOO. i'm in love. i've been in love since i brought it home on thursday. i loooove it. it's so pretty and shiny and fast and lovely.

anyway, i'm looking for advice on things you use daily. you know, downloads, widgets, things like that. things you use on a daily basis and can't live without, or things that you find make it a little easier. or just, you know, fun stuff.

Congrats on getting an iMac. I love mine!! As for widgets, I'm not sure on that one. I use my iCal and iTunes every day as well as some things on my dashboard.

I don't really use the widgets at all. I just use ical and firefox.

Congrats on the iMac ! Like Paula, can't live without mine. Love it !

My fave applications: Quicksilver (really handy), Sparrow (a mail client for Gmail), Mactubes (let's you watch and download videos from YouTube), AppCleaner, The Unarchiver (to unzip files). You can find most of this applications here and here and they're all free. Oh, you can also use Open Office. Same thing as the microsoft one, but it's free.

One of my favorite new desktop applications is Gruml. It basically syncs with your Google Reader subscriptions and helps you keep up with the blogs that you read. I don't know if you read a lot of blogs, but if you do, you will love this app!

You are welcome. I was getting frustrated because I couldn't keep up with all the blogs I wanted to read. I would just get so far behind that there wasn't any point in even trying. So, I went in search of something that would help. And, Gruml has been amazing! Glad you like it!
