How many unfinished pages do you currently have?
How many unfinished pages do you currently have? ... and when I say unfinished, I mean pages you've started, but haven't finished (vs. those you plan to make at some time in the future )
I have 6, the oldest dating back to April 2012

None... ? I can't start a new page until I finish whatever one I've been working on.

I'm not on my computer now, but I'm pretty sure I have at LEAST 8 unfinished pages from this year. I usually have one or more a month that I get stuck on and abandon (or intend to get back to and never do).

None. I'm like Trish, I can't move on to something new unless what I'm working on is finished. If a page isn't coming together for me for whatever reason, I just delete it.

I envy you ladies with zero! There have been more times than not that I've been at zero. I suppose I could delete some of the oldies, but I keep thinking I'm going to go back and finish them and I hate to "waste" the hours I've already spent on them. Clearly they aren't inspiring me. I have two I'm actively working on ... the others I may never finish, they just kind of clutter things up.

I am a zero as well. I will absolutely delete if it is not working. And I can't have unfinished stuff because I know I will never go back to them.

I had probably 7 unfinished pages until this week! I've been on a mission to finish those this week. I think I only have 2 left. It feels good! I love starting pages but have a hard time finishing them. I usually quit when its time to journal - that is what gives me the most anxiety!

I do however have about 16 pages of my PL 2013 with the journaling and pictures on them just waiting to be beautified.....those are the only kind of pages that I can do without completely finishing them! |

I didn't even know there was such a thing! Yeah I have to finish before I start another.

This. I do however have a LOT of pages, spanning several years, to be scrapped. I don't think I'll ever be on top of it!

Wow! Gotta say I'm surprised to be in the minority on this. I guess I scrap based on feeling and if I'm not feeling it I walk away.... But that doesn't mean I want to delete it just yet. So, maybe my issue is letting go?

None. I wait to scrap until I can do a layout from start to finish. There are a couple of times that I'll come back to a layout and nudge an element this way or that, and yesterday I went back and swapped out pics on a layout because I found photos from my DSLR that turned out WAY better than the photos I had snapped with my smartphone; I forgot that I had taken my DSLR with me that day and that I had photos on both.
Other than those minor changes (swapping a pic, nudging an element), my layout is finished before I move on to anything else. The one exception? When I'm working on an album (like the Summer Love Mini Album from Nettio), I go through and set up the entire album's bg papers, etc, and then pop in pics later. If I don't feel a background I chose was suiting my photos, I can always swap it out, but I like to do the whole album at once, even if I don't know what photos and elements I'll use, because I want it to look cohesive. So, those sit unfinished until I get to the photos for that page. Oh! And I'll start a layout and then trash it if it isn't going how I want it to. In fact, I've trashed FINISHED layouts that I've gotten all the way done, even through the shadowing, and I think "I don't love it." I'll just trash it and do it again. No reason to have a layout I don't LOVE in an album I'm printing.

None for me too - every once in a blue moon I'll have to save a page because I have to run and pick Cheyanne up somewhere or go to a game and I didn't finish before I have to leave, but it has to be finished before I start another one.

I have one unfinished page and it's an oldie. Usually I finish a page before I start a new one, but every once in a while I set one aside if it's not coming together, but I don't hate it. I'll revisit my working layouts folder every couple of months and decide what to do with the unfinished layouts. Sometimes I'll finish them and other times I'll delete them. I don't think I've left a layout unfinished in more than six months, though. It's a good sign that I'm finishing what I start!!

I'm the odd one out, it would seem. I have loads. But I do go back to pages/projects, even after years, so I never delete anything and wait for the right mood for finishing. I'd actually feel kinda weird if everything was done. I like having lots of things going on.
I'd say my record is a CD project that involves a booklet that's been in the works for, like, 7 years or so. Not that it's been abandoned for 7 years, I just keep coming back to it and being in awe of actually finishing. But it will happen. One day. :-)

just one. It is a harder page so it is taking a lot more time to finish.
ETA if I am still working on the page that may not count as unfinished so maybe none. It has just been almost a month in completion. Last edited by jessica31876; 08-17-2013 at 07:33 PM. |

I have quite a few. Most of them are pretty much done though, or others just have the pictures and journaling assembled, so are still worth keeping for that reason. I go through and delete some once in awhile, but there is usually enough on there that it's worth keeping even if I don't consider them finished or worth posting/printing, ya know?

The only time a page stays unfinished is if I have to go to bed, and then I must finish it before I start another. Or I trash it altogether. I'm not a very patient scrapper.

I'm in the "don't really start another til this one is finished" group. I might have one open during the week waiting for additional products to add to it but that's about it. I have an ongoing project mini album sort of but I haven't actually started the next layout for it.

just one only because I found it on my server and realized I never finished it... I have to go find a beaver element for it - so that is what stalled me... and then I kind of forgot about the page and it was put into the files until one day I thought about it and wondered if I finished that page... so that got moved to my hard drive, but I haven't finished it... otherwise I'm a finish the page and move on..

I don't start a new page until I finish the one I'm working on, but I have occasionally given up on a LO and kept the rectanglified template. That's as close to keeping an unfinished page as I get. If I like how I've modified the template, but I'm just not feeling how I started using it, then I'll save the template for later.

I'm surprised to be in the minority on this, too! I'm a slow scrapper-I often spend 2-3 days on a LO. I generally finish one before I move on, but sometimes I have to stop because I have a CT kit to work with or just don't like the way something is coming out. I have 5 of those waiting for me right now going back about a year.

I'm with with the zero crowd. If I'm stuck to long with a page a delete it and it goes back into the "will do in the future" pile.

zero, if I start a page and then have to step away for whatever reason I finishing when I come back to the computer. If I start a page and I'm not "feeling it", I let it sit for a day and of I'm still not feeling it I just trash it!!!
