Default So what's on your super bowl menu?

I'm not really gonna be watching for a certain team, just a commercial kind of gal here. LOL!! But I am curious as to what everyone will be munching on. We are having, sliders, hot wings, lil smokies, chips & dip, 7 layer dip, homemade salsa and chips and I think that's it.

I dont' know yet... everyone's still sick here or just starting to get over it.. so appetites aren't really there. I always make mexican eggrolls, so probably those.. I'm also considering
lil smokies, potato skins, mozzerella sticks and cheese dip.

We are ordering in a 24" pizza, then will make potato skins (TGIFriday's style), homemade queso dip, and maybe a few other things. I need to figure out dessert!

I'll just post the recipe.. I've posted it before but I'm too lazy to go search for it.

Ingredients:
package of wonton wrappers
1 lb ground beef, crumbled, browned and drained
1 can refried beans
1 pkg shredded taco cheese or whatever kind of cheese you want
salsa/sour cream for dipping

Mix the beef, beans and cheese in a large bowl. Lay a wonton wrapper flat in the palm of your hand. Put a small spoonful of filling in the center of the wrapper. Fold the bottom of the wrapper up and moisten the edge with water. Fold the edges over so that it looks like a little envelope and seal with water. Make sure all edges are sealed with no gaps. Place on cookie sheet until you have made all your wrappers.

Heat oil to 350 degrees and fry wrappers until golden brown and crispy. I do ours in the deep fryer so that I don't get spit on, but you can do it in a deep pan if you like.

I'm also sure you could spice these up however you like, or mix other things in there.. jalapenos, etc... but my kids like things bland, so bland we do. I do season the meat some w/ taco seasoning.

Well we all know my love of football and the STEELERS, so we are just doing a mini party because I don't want to put myself into labor with a bunch of people around. LOL

Our Menu:
Ribs
Wings
Jambalya
Sausage & Cheese Queso Dip
Spinach Dip
Salami Rolls
Cheesy Potatoes
Cupcakes and A Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake

I think that's it. And I'm sure whatever else my preggo butt can find.

I don't really care who wins as long as it's not the Steelers. heehee jk I'm just bitter since they beat my Seahawks in the big game

We're doing PW sloppy joes, garlic fries, and whatever else my Dad decides to make. I'm hungry just thinking about it, but dreading the good old pregnancy induced heartburn lol.

All I can say is Go Pack! Go!

We're having ribs, wings, pico de gallo and homemade restaurant style salsa, onion strings (recipe from Pioneer Woman), Jalapeno Poppers (Pioneer Woman again) and a homemade BBQ chicken pizza. If we wouldn't have gotten so much snow here I would have done a typical Packers style tailgate party complete with Johnsonville brats and sausages, but seeing as I no longer live in Wisconsin, and dh is definitely NOT a northerner, no tailgate party

Hopefully I'm feeling better by tomorrow though, I've got some nasty bug, not sure if it's the cold or the flu yet.

Sliders are like small hamburgers. Smokies are tiny sausages.

I've got chili cooking in the crockpot, sauce on the stove, meatballs (which, this is the first time I've ever made them and OMG I make a mean meatball! LOLOL!), and PW's restaurant style salsa. I'm jumping in the shower, then I'm making some pico de gallo and fresh guacamole. We also got a big cheese and cracker platter on sale at BJ's yesterday thanks to a few coupons My girlfriend is bringing buffalo chicken dip and brownies for dessert.

We're doing bite sized snacky things. Olives, marinated mushrooms, artichokes, & mozzerella bites. Bread with oil & spices for dipping. Hot 'wing' bites & chinese steak bites, plus raw carrots, broccoli, cauliflower & jicama with several dipping sauces

You are all making me HUNGRY! We don't watch sports, so no Super Bowl snacks here. Although every year, these threads have me wishing I watched football, lol!!
