Yup, Patriots and Giants. I don't really follow football but I'll watch for awhile. If only to see some of the commercials.

around here you know it's the patriots and the giants. we are sandwiched right between the two teams geographically and the upset last time of the giants over the patriots has created a lot of friction! if it were two other teams i wouldn't have a clue either and i don't intend to watch!

My 9 y.o. son would be thrilled to come talk your ear off about football teams and superbowl statistics and history, if you want a little education. I try to listen attentively, I really do.

I don't have a clue which teams are playing either...so not lame at all lol! We usually make some snacks and it will be on, but we don't have or go to any big parties or anything. About the only part I pay attention to is the commercials and the halftime show. Now March Madness is another story, my DH is a huge basketball fan (especially KU) so I'm expected to know which teams are playing then lol.

I heard on the radio this morning that all but 16% of Americans will be tuned into the Super Bowl this weekend. Of the 16% that aren't watching, 10% don't own a TV. That means only 6% of TV viewing Americans aren't interested in the Super Bowl. It will be on at my house because my family likes the commercials and half time show, but if we actually watch 10 minutes of the game itself, I will be surprised. Frankly, I would rather scrap.

I had no idea either. My hubby is super into sports, but we only have basic channels (no cable) so he mostly reads everything online. And well, we don't watch tv on Sundays and amazingly, that means he misses the Super Bowl. But, he never complains.

You are not lame at all - that would be this girl and I am owning that one this weekend - I don't care who is in the Superbowl....( I am from Ft Worth - if its not the cowboys who cares) but I have mad love for my husband who is a DIE HARD Giants fan .... so we are headed to the Combined Club (Military on base here in Italy) at no kidding 00:15 for kickoff.... That would be midnight!!! And to top it off because its a military broadcast there are no commercials!!!!!
Thank god I took Monday off to sleep!

Most years I live happily in my football-less bubble and have no clue. DH usually tells me, but it goes in 1 ear and out the other. I can't stand football. But DH is a huge Pats fan and my oldest is following in his footsteps, so I've been hearing way too much about this game. The only good thing about it is that win or lose, football season is OVER afterward. I'm looking forward to having my husband back on Sundays. (Well...win or lose it's over. But the next few weeks will be a lot more pleasant around here if the Pats win this time.)

The only reason I know is because Eli Manning is playing. I grew up in Mississippi and graduated from Ole Miss so we know the Mannings around here. Other than that I couldn't care less.
