I personally love satin. It's a cross between matte and gloss. and I like a little heavier weight. Whatever you choose, I'm sure you'll love your finished project!

It's all up to you! I have used white cardstock in the past (I just buy packages of like 100 sheets at Michael's), and recently I bought some softgloss photo paper. The quality of the softgloss was AMAZING (made the photos pop...I believe it's about the same as lustre or satin photo paper)...the only drawback was the thickness and texture on the back makes it really hard to stick to anything with the adhesive I was using (though I'm going to try a different adhesive, lol). I have also used just regular printer paper on some projects, as well.
Remember that the glossier the paper you choose to print on, the longer of a wait time you'll have for it to fully dry. Cardstock you can use immediately, the softgloss I was using I waited a half hour or so just to be sure that I didn't put a thumbprint in the ink (though it seemed to be dry almost immediately). |

I've been using Canon or Kodak semi gloss photo paper and I've been very happy with the results!

Thanks so much girls....I have some photo paper here it's matte, and I have card stock somewhere too (DH moved it when he was cleaning) I'll do a sample of both and see if it is what I am looking for. Another question is does the ink run if you use a sealer?

I use matte finish photo paper or white cardstock. Whatever I happen to have in the house when I'm printing!

I use Canon's Matte Photo Paper in 8.5"x11" and I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. I'll be showing off a hybrid project soon and I was actually in tears with how awesome it looks.

Am I the only person that just sends stuff to be printed somewhere else? (Costco for me) I'm just not sure I can print it myself any cheaper |

I send all my stuf to my husband ast work t6o print... high quality brochure cardstock on a professional printer at 11x 17 costs me $0.30! can't justify buying a printer! But I might try buying photo paper soon...

No, I do that too. I just ordered my bracket album prints. I think I'm low on ink, so I just ordered from scrapbookpictures.com.

I send all mine out too. I'm lazy. One walmart here by me prints really good but they quit letting you order it online and pay for it in the store, and when I'm uploading it's usually at night and I'm too lazy to get up and look for the debit card.... which means I have been exploring new options. My CVS prints pretty good, and I just sent some stuff to Sam's for the first time.. need to go pick that up soon.
