Default gift ideas for kids at church...

Okay, so DH & I teach the children's church class at our church. We have 1st through 5th grade & I need gift ideas. We only have 5 kids. 3 1st grade girls, a 2nd grade boy & a 4th grade boy. I really like to get them the same thing so they're not arguing over who gets what! Last year we did the miniature Build-a-Bears. The year before that we did original Slinkies. I have no clue what to do this year! We like to keep it around $5 per kid. Any ideas?

Lifeway and Family Christian usually have good deals on stocking stuffer kinds of gifts. Sometimes you can even get a kids' DVD for $5.00.

We went shopping yesterday for our church kids, with a budget of $4- $5 each. For the under 3 yr olds we got a playdough and shape cutter set. For the 3-8 yr olds we got gel pens and a fancy notebook for the girls, and a spiderman stationary set with sketch pad for the boys. The older boys got a table tennis set, and the older girls got a nice necklace with lip gloss.

Those little play-doh buckets that are about 6 dollars at walmart would be good...my Sunday School kids (2-3 graders) go crazy over play-doh for some I'm reason.

I'm pretty sure they're less than 6 - they used to be anyway.

You can gift them health fruit flower, which they will not only enjoy but they will also love to eat those fresh fruits. This is very unique gift concept which i came to know on my birthday when once of my friend gifted me.

I think the play doh is a good idea - all kids love that I think. Or some other mini-craft type kit - I know that at Target here in the office supply section they have an aisle for crafty kits, and there are always some good craft or drawing kits for around $5.
