Do you ever have to cover stuff?

Do you ever have a picture but you really want to cover something in the background?

So... mind you, these pics were taken Feb 28th of this year... and our Xmas tree is in the background.

Can you tell? I really hope you can't, because I tried my best to remove it. LOL!!!!

Do you slap elements on top of it, blur it? What do you do in a case like this?
