Unhappy Need help color calibrating my monitot

So my comp crashed on friday and it couldnt be fixed. So i went in and bought a new one. When i started using it this morning i found that the colors were totally off. Esp the greens were neon!!! I hope calibrating wud fix it??? But is there any way to calibrate without using a colorimeter?? A software maybe??? Am totally lost and wanna cry

Sugi - I do think you need some type of software. I had a lot of trouble wrapping my brain around calibration and I'm going to point you to a link for a person that REALLY helped me. I even went back and forth with him through emails. He is a really nice person. I hope this helps.

Yep Damien's da calibration man!
His first question to any photographer on CM is "are you calibrated?".
I ended up getting a i1d2 calibrator after several wonkiness issues. But hopefully he has a way to at least get you in the general region of being calibrated.

Thank you ladies!! That sure is helpful!! I called up Dell customer service and they've asked me to bring it in!! Lemme see what they have to say b4 i invest in a calibratr!! TY once again
