Default Is it a problem....

that I am obsessed with the cartoons my kids watch?

No seriously, the girls are into Phineas and Ferb these days. And I can tell you, there are some seriously funny things on that show. Like sophisticated references and all. For example, when Candace (their older sister who wants to get them in trouble) is going after them...very faintly in the background, you hear music that alludes to the wicked witch of the west theme. Cool, huh?

Also, Candace is voiced by Ashley Tisdale...and I'll tell ya...with the right movie, she could be a really good comedic actress.

It's actually my dh's favorite show to watch with the girls...Sophia who, turned 22 months today always says FERB! when she sees that it is on. It's one of the only shows that keeps her attention. She loves Perry too!

Not seen this phineas and ferb you speak of, but I'm in LOVE with wordworld. the animation is just so cute. I just love it. The stories aren't half bad adn Meri LOVES this show. That and wow wow wubbzy. That show is pretty cute. If she hears the theme music she starts beebopping. But pretty much anything else on and she could care less....

Oooo, I'm going to have to check that out then. I just love that all the objects are spelled out just like they are. And I swear since we started watching it Meri has been picking up new words daily. Could be coincidence, but perhaps not...

Oh Word World is great! Rachel kept talking about 'Urkel' and I couldn't figure it out...we do NOT watch Family Matters...finally dawned on my that's how she pronounces 'word world' LOL.

And Aaron, you're not the only guy obsessed with his kids TV shows LOL. My DH is a truck driver, and has caught himself singing The Wonder Pets 'phone is ringing' ditty as he cruises down the highway. LOL, told him it would be a good thing to sing on the CB if another trucker starts messing with him. They'll think he's nuts and back off ROFL.

What's a Ferb?

I'm so out of it...my youngest is 13 YEARS! I haven't watched anything since the Teletubbies and VeggieTales days.

...it's been M*A*S*H for at least 10 viewings of the 11 years...and several viewings of all the series of: Myth Busters (need latest one out), Home Improvement, and Hogan's Heroes...at least they are all ones I like.

Haha!! I think I've seen most episodes of those too. Love Carly and Spence. Wanna slap Sam. I'm thinking I probably shouldn't be admitting these things in a public forum.

I am rolling here! I watched 5 minutes of iCarly last night and can totally understand why you would be watching without kiddos!

I've seen pretty much every ep ever of 'Drake & Josh' and 'iCarly.'

But it drives me CRAZY that Tomboy Sam has that ridiculously long perfectly curled hair all the time! What is that abt?! If she is such a tomboy and so not into gurly things and doesn't have a good mom role model, why in the world would she hypothetically spend 30 minutes every morning curling her hair into perfect lil' ringlets?!? UGH. It drives me insane.

Red face Say what?

I'm so confused...are you all speaking English because I didn't understand anything you were talking about!

Are these preteen girl shows or animated cartoons...what channel and when are they on? You have my curiosity up. ...and what's a ferb?

We watch all those shows and they are way less annoying than some of the cartoons I grew up with.

iCarly...I hate most everything Sam does (not a great role model), but I LOVE the episode with the crazed fan who wants to treat them to smoothies, and Sam says, "She's people. You know I hate people." My favorite line ever as I have become less and less likely to socialize with people at church or the school because they annoy the hell out of me.

Landon loves Martha Speaks on PBS. He's a good reader, too, but it's always so funny when he goes around peppering his sentences with words like "immense." What 8 year old uses words like that?
