LOL Have you ever...

wrapped all of your Christmas gifts using an Elmer's glue stick because you waited till Christmas eve to wrap when no stores were open to buy tape and couldn't find any tape and then stayed up till 3 in the morning wrapping only to crawl into bed and glance into the top of your closet (first unobstructed view in months) to see a 4 pack of tape hiding in the back? (because you're not an idiot, of course you bought tape).

Me neither!

no, but I have had to use my scrapping adhesive because I couldn't find it...and then when I put it away, the tape was right next to the spare adhesive in the drawer

Your kids will appreciate this story when they are parents. Haha. You're a good, Momma.

I've used packing tape before.

There are currently 3 packs of those multi tape packs in my house. I have 3 because I couldn't find the one I knew I had, so I bought a second & a couple days later when I went to wrap some gifts I couldn't find it or the first one, so I bought a third pack & hours later came across the first pack. The second pack is still missing. Right now there are 9 rolls of tape in my house.

But I can only find one of them

Not a glue stick, but duct tape was used on a number of presents in the Baldwin house because I couldn't be bothered to go find where the tape had been hidden! Our 9yo is a tape user - he really needs a 12 step program. So if he sees a roll of cellophane in the house, anywhere, he's like the Borrowers..and takes it to hide in his stash, never to be seen again in it's original form. We even went so far as to fill his stocking with tape dispensers this year.

So, I needed to finish off a couple of things quickly, and duct tape was within eyesight, and I used it

I have to say I might wrap their presents with glue from now on. They were super easy for them to open and at 10 cents each from back to school sales, it was insanely economical! It only took a little longer than normal

hee hee ... I tried one time to wrap gifts with some scrapbook adhesive only to have them pop open by the time I got to a friend's house to give her the presents! LOL

This year I ran real real close on tape ... had like 8 packages last Christmas but the robotics team ended up using it all ... and I forgot! ...so will probably be my first purchase after Christmas...

oh I also bought this Lisa Frank poster sized coloring book (you know the designer who makes all those cute rainbow colored girly stickers/pencils/paper etc) for my niece but decided to give it to my daughter who still loves to color and I forgot I gave it to her and was looking all over for it on christmas eve. Then on christmas morning it was in one of my daughters presents I was like ohhh that is where it went LOL

Oh man thats great.

For the last three presents I used duck tape because I didn't feel like going to the store to buy tape to just wrap three gifts.
