LOL S/O of Darcy's thread...Have you fallen asleep?

...during a movie?

On my first date out with DH after Nathan was born 12 years ago, I fell asleep during The Grinch. But it was long and I was EXHAUSTED with a 6 week old LOL.

A few years ago I got mad at James for falling asleep and SNORING during the movie Babies. But I GET IT. That movie had no dialogue at all and it was kind of dull lol.

But lately it's just my favorite spot to take a catnap :P We live like 50 yards from a theater and we walk over there all the time. See every kids movie ever made. And half of them are boring. So anymore I just see it as a dark, cool place to catch 20 winks.

That's actually one of our new moving ratings - how long did Mom fall asleep for during THIS movie in the theater? the shorter the time, the better the movie :P

My husband fell asleep during one of the Harry Potter movies. He was snoring and everything! For his credit, it was right after wheat harvest and he had been working very hard, but I was still annoyed.

If we watch a movie at home, it had better be violent and scary or he will fall asleep every single time. lol.

I have more times than I can count. My husband will no longer take me to movies that start after 7pm as I always fall asleep no matter how good the movie is or how bad I want to see it. I just crash on his shoulder ever time. For me its like being in the theater cozy with him is my sleep button.

hehe I just fell asleep this past weekend during Snow White & The Huntsman. It was an ok movie, but I'm just exhausted these days. I only slept about 15 min or so, and I woke up feeling rested and happy. LOL

Prior to that, it was during Horton Hears A Who in the theater several years ago.

The first one I think I ever fell asleep during was Star Wars Episode 1. It was a long day, we had my brothers with us and we saw it opening weekend. The theatre was packed and we were sitting up front. In order to watch it I had to look up and I already had a headache going in. On top of that the volume was so ridiculously loud that I think falling asleep was a coping mechanism for me. We went back the following week and watched it in our local theatre (saw it out of town the first time) just DH and I and I didn't fall asleep that time.

Since then, well, I find that I doze off more often than not, like Darcy, a good movie is rated on how little I slept. Its funny because I don't fall asleep at the Drive-In when sleeping conditions would be much more comfortable (sleeping bag, pillows, etc.).

When we watch movies at home, I fall asleep more often than not. DH just stops it when he sees me sleeping and then we go back to it later. I try not to watch movies for this reason.

The last one I slept during, The Lorax. Before that, Arthur Christmas. I sense a pattern... LOL Then again, we only really see kid movies at the indoor theatres.

I did during the Sixth Sense, it was the first week after basic training, so I was exhausted and I woke up and didn't have any idea what was going on when I did wake up. LOL!

Lord of the Rings Part 1! I worked for AOL/Time Warner at the time, so our entire department got to watch opening show of the movie. I had never read the book and it's not my kind of movie... so, I ended up taking a nap. It was awesome to get paid to go watch the movie and be able to nap while getting paid! LOL

DH falls asleep in almost every movie(at home and in theater) , so I refuse to go to the movie with him.

An ex-boyfriend of mine made me go to the midnight showings of both Star Wars: Episode 1 and the first LOTR. Yep, fell asleep during both of them.
