Default Persnickety Sale?

Persnickety is having their semi-annual sale this weekend & I am trying to decide how many print credit packages to buy- I seem to use them up fast! How many do most of you get? I print about 25 layouts a month!

I sure do wish you could buy credits for the 8x8 prints. I'd be all over that one!

I'm a lower volume scrapper (10-15 LOs a month), so I buy 50.

Just as an FYI to those of you who want 8X8 print credits, I asked on their wall about it and this was the response I got:

we would LOVE to offer all sizes, but are limited to what our shopping cart will allow. Do me a favor- share this frustration with Lifepics- http://www.lifepics.com/Help/ContactUs.aspx We ask them to develop this option, but it isn't top priority to them On a lighter note- we will have more frequent 8x8 promo's.

So if you can take two minutes to do the above, maybe we will get a chance at 8X8 credits soon!

Thanks Jen - I'll definitely go give Lifepics that feedback.

I ordered a bunch of 8x8's. I am a little nervous about how they will turn out as I have never ordered there before (only shutterfly). I was pretty happy with Shutterfly but this was a really good deal so I figured Id try them.

Oh and I order 8x8 so I couldn't get credits I to wish they had credits for that size

Jessica - I only use Persnickety anymore. I've always been happy with how they turn out.

I wrote to Lifepics. Thanks for posting that so hopefully some of us will drop them a note and let them know that this is a service we'd love to have!

And Jessica, if you think you liked Shutterfly, just WAIT until you have those Persnickity prints in your hands. Amazing!

Persnickety has awesome prints. I've ordered a ton by now and haven't had a single print that I haven't loved. I don't think I'll ever order from anywhere else!

I'll also ditto everyone else. Since I started scrapping again, I've used Persnickety. The 8x8 print credits would be perfect because I've been able to keep up with my priting each month, but I still have over 250 old ones that are just waiting to be printed!

I would like to order a 12x12 once and see how it looks. I've always gotten 8x8, but honestly they feel small to me ... would like to see the 12x12 ...

I love Pernickety ... I just do not print very often as I don't have it in the budget.

I've only ever done 12x12, but I haven't printed them. And I've heard so many people say that 12x12 is just TOO big and the books are clunky. I don't know what to do :/

This is the response I got from Lifepics:

We do not currently have the ability to sell prepaid print credits of any kind automatically through our sites. I understand that Persnickety Prints is manually selling credits by repurposing a limited-use feature of our site that was not designed for this purpose. And this manual work around that Persnickety has devised cannot do the 8x8 size since it was not designed as a prepaid print credit system and so it cannot handle multiple products and prices.

Both LifePics and Persnickety Prints thanks you for your feedback and it will be considered. Persnickety Prints is aware that we are considering creating and coding a Prepaid Print System for our 2012 project list. So it is highly possible that this will be available later next year, so keep tuned into Persnickety’s email blasts and Facebook page for more information.

I ♥ Persnickety Prints, they're the only place I order from anymore. I ordered and emailed about the prepaid prints. (got a reply too)

As far as the 12x12 vs 8x8, my 12x12 albums seem GINORMOUS (although they're paper) I like the size/cost of the 8x8 better. I just make sure to keep print size in mind as I scrap, making sure I'll be able to see the pics and read the journaling.

Printing in any form is good

I love Persnickety! I also love printing 12x12. 8x8 prints feel TINY to me. When I first switched from 8.5x11 I printed 2 layouts in both sizes so I could compare them. The 8x8 was okay (but still small) for the layout with 1 photo and a paragraph of journaling, but it seemed way too small for the layout with 5 photos plus journaling.

I'd love to be able to print 12x12, but I just don't have the space for it right now.

I started out as a paper scrapper who scrapped 12x12. I bought nice albums and have seen them fall apart in the 8 years since I began scrapping. They're just too big and cumbersome for company to look through and haven't done well with little hands, so they've ended up sitting on a shelf and collecting dust. The 8x8 has been perfect for their purpose...being looked through and handled!

Just wanted to throw this idea out there. I try to upload to Persnickety whenever I upload a layout to the galleries, just like another gallery. That way when a sale comes along, I don't have to panic, I just have to order the things that are already uploaded. It makes it so much easier!

So I just placed an order for 42 layouts, saved 10 dollars, and now my printing is caught up.

that is a good idea Kellie. I had never really heard of them before today but I will be working on uploading what I did not get printed and will upload there too from now on.
