Default Worst present?

What was the worst present you ever got?

Mine was a big wooden cutting board from my mom to my birthday years ago. For me as an absolute non-cook just the right gift! To this day I don't know what she was thinking of it.

Oh my, Josie! That is one puzzling gift for a non-cook lol...
I can't seem to remember any birthday present that I would call the worst. Actually, there was a span of time where I stopped getting birthday presents from when I was 16, because I went to study abroad alone and only came home once or twice a year, until I met my husband at 23, so somehow my memories of birthday presents are quite fuzzies.
After I got married, hubby mostly just asks what I want for my birthday, since he is not good at picking up presents.

I have two, a floral arrangement in pink from my mother, that one would put on a grave. And a ugly brown financial diary I got from hubby with the previous years diary thrown in free. Those take the cake for me.

I got a fire extinguisher for my car this year from my guy. Thankfully there was also an Amazon gift card with it!

My husband is completely hit or miss on gifts, to the point that I told him just to stop instead. Some of his worst was a gift card to a liquor store and an entire case of wine. I drink but not much (like maybe a couple glasses a month). He also once gave me a filter for the water fridge system, he actually put it in a pretty gift bag, too. So weird. lol Oh, gosh, another year he clearly went to Walgreens the day before Christmas and got three things, a heated blanket (I had just thrown one away because there's no way to clean it), slippers that were the wrong size, and a Sophia from Golden Girls Chia pet. WTH. lol

you can wash them! I often thought the same but most heated blankets are actually able to be washed. Darcy got me one for christnas i'm using it right now haha.

Darcy is really sweet with gifts and while they might not always be practical he really loves giving gifts. I may have received a few duplicates of things over the years LOL.

I can't really think of anything awful. I am the type of person that isn't really a gifts person so it took me a bit to stop telling him not to buy me things (it kind of hurt his feelings)

I did once ask for a house cleaner to come just once for our anniversary but he said it wasn't romantic enough!! ummm yes it is LOL

hmmm.... my hubby is pretty good at giving gifts because I give him a list of things to buy me. haha. My mom is also pretty tuned in.

The one that comes to mind is when I was dating my now husband - one of his relatives gave me edible body paint ... they thought it was ice cream topping. Try to explain what it was to my boyfriend's dad.

Yep! I have a heated bed mat from UK years ago, which is really handy during winter to warm the bed up before we go to sleep. It comes with cables that can be unplugged and then I just toss the mat into the washing machine.

I am blown away by washing the heated blanket. I will have to look into the one I have. It was definitely the least bad gift of the things he gave me that year.
